Top Signings of the Week – New QB1 for Mercenaries
The fourth ELF season is in the books. In the offseason, the teams attempt to strengthen themselves at various positions. An overview of the best signings of the week.
There was a lot going on at the Helvetic Mercenaries this week. In Isaiah Weed, the team has signed a new starting quarterback. With Lennox Gautschi, a new fast running back joins the league.
For the defense, the contract of defensive tackle Michael Kimpiabi was extended. With Demarco Artis the Mercenaries signed a new defensive end.
The Raiders Tirol surprised last season, especially with a strong offensive line. An important part of this was offensive tackle Oscar Strömstedt. Fans will be happy to hear that Strömstedt has extended his expiring contract.
Linebacker Tim Unger, who has been playing for the Raiders since 2020, is also staying. Unger was therefore already active for the Austrians before his team entered the European League of Football.
The Fehérvár Enthroners are making further changes to their coaching staff. With Raúl Saavedra, they have acquired a new Special Teams Coordinator.
Nordic Storm has signed Simon Føns. The young Dane is the first wide receiver in the history of the young franchise.
Frankfurt Galaxy have strengthened their offensive line with an experienced player. Offensive tackle Keanu Ebanks signs with the Galaxy and is looking forward to his fourth ELF season.
The Hamburg Sea Devils have extended the contract with their starting punter Jakob Stork. The young player started last season as a punter, but can also play as a kicker.
In addition to Stork, wide receiver Jakob Neugebauer will also remain with the Sea Devils. The 26-year-old has also extended his contract.
