Week 4 of the 2025 ELF season gave fans a closer look at some of the most exciting homegrown talents. From game-changing defensive backs to dominant runners and reliable receivers — local players made a major impact on both sides of the ball. Defensive backs become quarterbacks’ nightmare It was a long day for Berlin Thunder quarterback Jakeb Sullivan, who threw four interceptions against the Hamburg Sea Devils. While American DB Nazir Streater picked off two passes, 22-year-old Jeremy Hecker also stood out. The German defensive back made three pass breakups and returned an interception for a touchdown — a highlight moment in Hamburg’s big win. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Finn Schwarzkopf of the Frankfurt Galaxy put on a show in front of the home crowd. Against the Cologne Centurions, Schwarzkopf had a stellar game with two interceptions — one returned for a touchdown — and added a tackle for loss. Strong defense and power running Prague Lions defensive lineman Marek Danik was a major factor in their dominant win over the Wroclaw Panthers. He recorded two sacks and two tackles for loss, disrupting the Panthers’ offensive line all game. His pressure helped keep Wroclaw’s offense out of rhythm. On offense, two running backs stood out. Nicolas Khandar helped the Paris Musketeers defeat Rhein Fire with 106 rushing yards on just 15 carries. His powerful running helped open up the passing game, giving quarterback Jaylon Henderson space to throw four touchdowns. Frankfurt’s Gerald Ameln had a career day against Cologne. With lead back Sandro Platzgummer resting, Ameln took full control — rushing for 170 yards and scoring both a rushing and a receiving touchdown. Trusted target in Vienna In the seventh edition of the Battle of Austria, Vienna Vikings wide receiver Noah Touré proved again why he was the 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year. Touré caught three touchdowns and totaled 102 receiving yards, becoming quarterback Ben Holmes’ go-to weapon in the 41–7 win over the Raiders Tirol. As the Vikings enter their first bye week, players like Touré can rest and prepare to continue their great form in the weeks to come. Two exciting games in the European League of Football saw strong performances by the Paris Musketeers and Prague Lions. Both teams walked away with big wins and important confidence boosts before heading into Week 5. Paris Musketeers @ Rhein Fire - 31:7 Only three weeks after their narrow loss to Rhein Fire in Week 1, the Paris Musketeers came back strong. The team played with high energy and an aggressive game plan, jumping to a 17–0 lead by the end of the first quarter. Rhein Fire had problems on offense and struggled to respond. Rhein Fire managed to close the gap to 17–7, but both teams’ defenses then took over. There were many punts and fumbles on both sides. Rhein Fire clearly missed their top receivers — Jordan Bouah, Harlan Kwofie, and Jannik Loerks — and could not create big plays. Miscommunication and dropped passes made a comeback nearly impossible. Musketeers wide receiver Hugo Tekedam was named "Ran Man of the Match" and told RAN:"It feels good to win, especially when offense, defense, and special teams all play well. My personal goal is to move higher in the ELF Top 100." Quarterback Jaylon Henderson added: "We’re happy, but we want to keep getting better every week." On the other side, Rhein Fire veteran Patrick Poetsch remained realistic after the loss: "We have to look at what went wrong, sit down, and start again." The win puts Paris back on the winning track, just in time for their first bye week. Rhein Fire will face the Hamburg Sea Devils next and will need a strong reaction after this defeat. Prague Lions @ Wroclaw Panthers - 45:13 After a strong win against the Fehérvár Enthroners in Week 3, the Prague Lions continued their momentum with an impressive 45–13 victory over the Wroclaw Panthers. The first half of the game was a defensive battle, with both offenses struggling to move the ball. At halftime, the Lions led 14–7, and neither team had gained more than 120 total offensive yards. Still, one name stood out early: William Patterson. The Prague playmaker scored both a rushing and a punt return touchdown before the break, setting the tone for what was to come. In the second half, the Panthers were unable to respond, while the Lions raised their level. Wroclaw's offense faltered with multiple punts and turnovers, and the Lions pulled away quickly. Homegrown defensive lineman Marek Danik recorded three sacks, linebacker Arthur Kingdom made several key tackles, a tackle for loss, and added an interception, while import defensive back Tyrus Guilford Jr. contributed eight tackles and two interceptions. Panthers quarterback DJ Irons Jr. had a difficult outing, throwing three interceptions and suffering four sacks. He often lacked protection from his offensive line. However, young wide receiver Erik Ottender provided a bright spot for Wroclaw with five catches for 110 yards and a touchdown. The Prague Lions now head into their first bye week of the season, looking to recharge and extend their winning streak in Week 6. It will be the seventh meeting between the two teams, with the Vikings having won every game so far. Can the Raiders finally turn the tide? Tirol started the season strongly, claiming high-scoring wins over the Cologne Centurions and the Helvetic Mercenaries. Their only defeat came in a 720 loss to the still-undefeated Munich Ravens. The Vikings, also unbeaten, enter the matchup as clear favorites. For the Raiders (2:1), a win is crucial to stay in contention in the highly competitive Southern Conference. Paris Musketeers at Rhein Fire After a narrow 7:12 loss to the Vienna Vikings, Rhein Fire is gearing up for its next major challenge. Despite undergoing a significant roster overhaul during the offseason, the reigning ELF champions have continued to perform at a high level. Now, the Paris Musketeers one of last season's top contenders await the German side. Although the Musketeers current 1:2 record may seem less threatening than last year, both losses were by a mere two points, including a tight 15:17 defeat to Rhein Fire in Week 1. Are we going to see another close match between these two teams? And are the Musketeers able to get their revenge? Munich Ravens at Stuttgart Surge  The Munich Ravens head into Week 4 of the ELF season undefeated. The team has impressed with consistently strong performances, especially in the run game, which has seen significant improvement. After a bye week, the Ravens return to action well-rested for a real German clash. Their opponent, Stuttgart Surge, still has its sights set firmly on the Championship Game, set to take place in Stuttgart on September 7th. Despite a narrow 0:6 loss to the Paris Musketeers earlier in the season, Surge rebounded last weekend with a dominant 53-point offensive performance against the Hamburg Sea Devils. Just three weeks after their dramatic Week 1 clash, Rhein Fire and the Paris Musketeers meet again - this time in Duisburg. Back then, Paris earned a narrow 17–15 win at home. Since then, the Musketeers have shown both strength and vulnerability, beating the Stuttgart Surge before losing a close battle against the Frankfurt Galaxy. Respect for Paris and lessons learned Rhein Fire enters the matchup after a tough loss to the Vienna Vikings but feels ready to respond. Wide receiver coach Mario Schulz praised the upcoming opponent and emphasized the need for improvement: "It’s going to be even tougher. Paris is a very well-coached team. We all want to see exciting games, and now we just have to make one more point – then everything is fine", he said. The team used the past training week to address mistakes and refocus. The 2023 and 2024 champions, the Rhein Fire from Düsseldorf, are close behind, despite their loss to Vienna last weekend. The odds for Rhein Fire to win the title are currently 4.0. Munich Ravens Previous Ranking: 6 Even with a bye week, the Ravens rise in the rankings. Their physical defense and big-play offense have impressed, and they’ll get a real test in Week 4 when they take on Stuttgart Surge. 6. Frankfurt Galaxy Previous Ranking: 7 A last-second field goal gave Frankfurt the edge over Paris. Matthew McKay and the offense were explosive early, while the defense dominated for most of the game. Though they nearly let it slip away, Galaxy showed they can contend with the league’s best. 7. Paris Musketeers Previous Ranking: 3 Despite a late comeback, the Musketeers' offense struggled for most of the game. Their defense couldn’t hold Frankfurt early either. They’ll need to find consistency on both sides to rise again. 8. Madrid Bravos Previous Ranking: 8 The Bravos earned their second win of the season, but defensive issues remain. Prague Lions Previous Ranking: 13 Prague earn their first win and move up a spot. Adam Zouzelka stood out on offense, but QB Javarian Smith still struggles to get the passing game going. Week 4 vs. Wroclaw is a key test. 13. Berlin Thunder Previous Ranking: 12 Thunder drop after a shutout loss to Nordic Storm. The injuries to Bryce Goggin and Jakeb Sullivan make things even tougher. They need a strong showing in Week 4 to bounce back. 14. Homegrown players continue to shine in the European League of Football. In Week 3, we saw exciting games, big wins, and many standout performances from local talents across the league. In Surge's huge 53-14 win, he needed just five catches to record 118 yards and three touchdowns. Geyer was nearly impossible to stop and is currently the Surge’ receiving yards leader. In Paris, Hugo Tekedam continues to build strong chemistry with quarterback Jaylon Henderson. The French receiver had 10 catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns, making him the top receiver for the Musketeers — even with star import Austin Mitchell on the roster. Wathlowitsch steps up in championship rematch The much-anticipated rematch between Vienna Vikings and Rhein Fire lived up to the hype. In a physical and competitive game, one local defender made the difference. Alexander Wathlowitsch, linebacker for the Vikings, played a fantastic game with six tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, and two pass breakups. His performance helped shut down Rhein Fire’s offense and earned him the RAN MVP of the game. Local stars shine bright Week after week, homegrown players continue to show just how much talent European football has to offer. Nailbiter alarm at Frankfurt Galaxy. Together with the Paris Musketeers, the German team delivered a real highlight in week 3. Galaxy had its opponent firmly under control for three quarters. The running game worked, the defense only allowed three points, and top performer Matthew McKay showed his strengths in the passing game. However, things went quiet around the quarterback in the fourth quarter. Watch the Highlights here! Musketeers chose the right adjustments Musketeers Head Coach Jack del Rio made the right adjustments. His squad looked like a different team and completely turned the momentum to their side. The stadium on Bieberer Berg was a world apart. The Musketeers scored 24 unanswered points. Musketeers quarterback Jaylon Henderson gained over 340 total yards and found his free receivers. The running game suddenly started to work and the defense also got into the game much better. With 22 seconds left, Henderson scored his final touchdown and with 19 seconds left, he completed the 2-point conversion to receiver Austin Mitchell - the Musketeers led. What a comeback. Read the whole game play by play Frankfurt Galaxy turns the tables again But that still wasn't the final score of a thrilling game. Galaxy QB McKay scored 27 yards with a run and was tackled late by Souleymane Karamoko. Too late, the referees thought, and gave the safety and his team a 15-yard penalty. So with just seven seconds on the clock, kicker Ryan Rimmler was given the chance to secure an already expected victory. And Rimmler scored. Galaxy regained the lead and won a dramatic game thanks to a strong Musketeers comeback. After his team's second victory, head coach Bart Andrus said he was "very, very proud of the boys, but especially of the young man sitting next to me," pointing to his smiling player Rimmler, who gladly accepted the compliment. “It's just my job, I always have to be ready for it,” Rimmler waved off, praising his teammates, who had done a first-class job for at least 45 minutes. Galaxy therefore go 2-1 and face a 0-2 Cologne Centurions in week 4. The Paris Muskeeters will face the current champions Rhein Fire, who suffered a painful defeat against the Vienna Vikings. Paris Musketeers @ Frankfurt Galaxy - 27:29 In one of the most exciting games of Week 3, the Frankfurt Galaxy managed to secure a dramatic 29–27 win over the Paris Musketeers. A strong first half, followed by a late game-winning field goal, allowed Galaxy to continue their winning streak and stay at the top of the West Division. Galaxy dominate early, Musketeers fight back late Right from the start, Galaxy showed their strength on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Matthew McKay impressed once again with both his passing and running ability, connecting on big plays with his receivers. Wideout Kevin Kaya was a key target, finishing with 5 catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. Galaxy’s defense also stepped up early and didn’t allow Paris to score in the first half. The Musketeers were down 0–19 at halftime, with a weather delay just before the break slowing things down — but not Galaxy’s momentum. In the second half, the Musketeers woke up. Quarterback Jaylon Henderson threw for over 340 total yards and three touchdowns, helping Paris score 23 points in the final quarter, including a safety. Week 2 of the ELF 2025 season once again showed how important homegrown talent is to the league. Several local players stepped up with standout performances on both offense and defense. Here are our Top Homegrowns of the Week! Running back trio steals the show In Week 2, it wasn’t just the quarterbacks making headlines — it was the running backs who took over the spotlight. Lucas Harting Candido played a key role in the Hamburg Sea Devils’ win over the Prague Lions, forming a dangerous backfield duo with Chrisman Kyei. Candido rushed for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns, showing why he is considered one of the most talented RBs in the league. In Frankfurt, it was a one-two punch from the Galaxy backfield. While Sandro Platzgummer won Citizen MVP of the Week, homegrown Gerald Ameln also stood out, rushing for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns in the high-scoring win over Madrid Bravos. And then there was Tobias Bonatti, who took over the game for the Raiders Tirol after starting QB Conor Miller went down. Bonatti ran for an impressive 185 yards and 3 touchdowns, thanks to great blocking and his own explosive runs. One of the biggest surprises of the weekend was the Paris Musketeers’ defense, which held the powerful Stuttgart Surge to zero points. In what will go down as the lowest-scoring game in European League of Football history, the Paris Musketeers defeated the Stuttgart Surge 6–0 in Week 2 of the 2025 season. Playing at Stade Robert Bobin in front of a charged home crowd, Paris not only secured a win but made a resounding statement by becoming the first team to shut out the Surge since the German powerhouse’s rise in 2023. The lone score of the game came late in the first quarter when Paris quarterback Jaylon Henderson found French wideout Rémi Bertellin in the end zone. Although the extra point was missed, the touchdown stood as the game’s only successful offensive play that resulted in points. From that moment on, the Musketeers’ defense took center stage - and never gave up control. Defensive mastermind - Jack Del Rio Leading the Paris defense was head coach Jack Del Rio, a former National Football League head coach and one of the league’s most respected defensive minds. Known for building hard-nosed, fundamentally sound units in the NFL, Del Rio’s influence was unmistakable. His defense suffocated Stuttgart’s attack at every level of the field, mixing disguised coverages with aggressive front-seven pressure. Paris’ defensive line consistently collapsed the pocket, forcing Surge quarterback Reilly Hennessey into rushed throws and poor decisions. Edge rushers such as Stanley Zeregbe disrupted the rhythm of Stuttgart’s passing game throughout the afternoon, combining for multiple quarterback pressures and several key tackles for loss.  Excellent coverage = producitve pass rush  In the secondary, cornerbacks Jamalcom Liggins and Kevin Fortes with discipline and physicality, denying Stuttgart’s receivers any real separation. Their team-play was instrumental in keeping Stuttgart from attacking over the middle, while also stepping up in run support with several open-field tackles that halted promising drives. However, perhaps the most telling statistic of the day was Stuttgart’s third-down conversion rate: just four out of 20 attempts. Paris forced a total of nine punts and came up with stops on each of Stuttgart’s red-zone possessions. Even when Stuttgart threatened to break through, the Musketeers responded with poise and execution - none more impressive than a fourth-quarter goal-line stand that saw the entire front seven stonewall a Surge run on fourth-and-short. Are the Musketeers a Top 3 team in the ELF? The shutout did not just secure a win - it reflected the Musketeers’ growing identity under Del Rio: a team built on toughness, discipline, and defensive excellence. Sunday of Week 2 in the European League of Football brought two highlight games — and they couldn’t have been more different. While the matchup between Nordic Storm and the Wroclaw Panthers featured 61 total points, the battle between the Stuttgart Surge and the Paris Musketeers ended with only 6 points on the board. Stuttgart Surge @ Paris Musketeers – 0:6 After a dominant Week 1 performance, many fans expected the Stuttgart Surge to win again in Week 2. But the Paris Musketeers, who already showed strong defense in their Week 1 loss to Rhein Fire, had other plans. Their offense had struggled before, but this time they did just enough. Early in the game, it was clear what kind of battle this would be. The first four drives ended in punts. Only late in the first quarter did we see the game’s only points — a beautiful touchdown pass from Jaylon Henderson to Rémi Bertellin. What no one knew then: this would be the only score of the game. Both teams played great defense and had strong special teams moments. There were punts, blocked field goals, and turnovers on downs, but no more points. The Surge offense — normally dangerous — struggled all game and couldn’t break through. For Stuttgart, Week 3 brings another tough opponent: the Hamburg Sea Devils, who also shine defensively. With new quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, Hamburg will be a true test for Surge. Stuttgart’s goal remains clear: reaching the Championship Game in their own city, and they’ll need to bounce back quickly. Paris, on the other hand, erased their rough Week 1 with this win. In Week 3, they face another strong team: Frankfurt Galaxy, who just won a shootout against the Bravos. The West Division, where both teams play, is already looking tight. Nordic Storm @ Wroclaw Panthers – 40:21 The second early Sunday game was full of action. The Nordic Storm, playing without injured MVP Glen Toonga, still looked strong and explosive. After a close start, the Storm took over in the second quarter, scoring three touchdowns before halftime. The Panthers tried to fight back and made it 20–14 in the third quarter. But the Storm offense, led by quarterback Jadrian Clark, kept pushing. Clark threw five passing touchdowns, and his connection with wide receiver Brendan Beaulieu was unstoppable — Beaulieu had 151 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Ludvig Myren also made key plays to keep the Panthers at a distance. On the Wroclaw side, it was mostly DJ Irons doing the work. The American quarterback was involved in nearly all of the Panthers’ offense, collecting over 300 total yards. He received little help from the run game — running back Dawid Brzozowski had just three rushing yards. The defense had some strong individual performances, including AJ Wentland with 16 tackles, but overall, they couldn’t stop the Storm’s high-powered offense. In Week 3, Nordic Storm will play their first-ever home game in ELF history — against the Berlin Thunder. With a 2–0 record, they’ll try to continue their strong start. The Galaxy struggled against a powerful Stuttgart Surge team, revealing several issues despite major offseason changes meant to bring them back to their former strength. The Bravos, on the other hand, showed solid defense, holding Hamburg to just 12 points. But offensively, they still need to find their rhythm. This game could already be an early turning point in the season. Both teams have playoff ambitions, and in their tight divisions, every win will matter. In Week 1, Nordic Storm and Wroclaw Panthers each had dominant wins. But now, they meet head-to-head — and we’ll find out which team truly belongs among the ELF elite. The big story for the Storm is the injury to star running back and 2024 MVP Glen Toonga, who is out for the season. All eyes will be on how the Storm adjust without him, especially against the strong Panthers defense, which made life very difficult for the Enthroners in Week 1. Stuttgart Surge vs. Paris Musketeers – Clash of championship contenders Both the Surge and the Musketeers looked like top-tier teams in Week 1. Stuttgart showed their full strength in all three phases of the game and beat the Galaxy with confidence, reminding everyone why they are seen as Championship contenders. The Musketeers played in a defensive battle against defending champs Rhein Fire, losing narrowly by just two points (15–17). Their defense was excellent, but their offense struggled against one of the toughest units in the league. This Week 2 matchup could be one of the best games of the weekend — two powerful teams, both with high goals for the season, meeting early for a statement win. Week 1 of the 2025 European League of Football season is done — and what a start it was! We saw dominant wins, close battles, and some surprising performances. It’s still early in the season, and every team has many games left to play, but here’s where I rank each team going into Week 2, and why: 1. Stuttgart Surge The Surge looked strong on both sides of the ball in their win over Frankfurt Galaxy. Over 400 total offensive yards and only 240 yards allowed on defense — a complete performance. They won the battle at the line of scrimmage and showed they’re ready for another big season. Penalties remain their biggest issue. An overall strong performance showcases their talent, which is why they are also the top team in my power rankings. 2. Rhein Fire Rhein Fire came out on top in a hard-fought defensive battle against the Paris Musketeers. Their defensive line was impressive — maybe even stronger than last season’s. Offensively, not everything clicked, but new dual-threat QB Chad Jeffries adds another dimension to their game. 3. Vienna Vikings The Vikings earned a clear 28–6 win over the Prague Lions. WR Yannick Mayr adds even more depth to an already dangerous receiver group and shined on special teams, too. A solid performance overall, with room to grow. The talent on the roster is definitely worthy of a top-three ranking. Don't miss a single game - Get your Game Pass now! 4. Nordic Storm A strong debut from the new team! QB Jadrian Clark threw five touchdown passes, and the team rushed for 276 yards. The defense added four sacks and even a pick-six. Now the big question: Can they compete with the top teams? 5. Paris Musketeers Their narrow loss to Rhein Fire showed the team’s potential, especially on defense. But issues in the offensive line, including six sacks and multiple bad snaps, need to be fixed fast. The talent is clearly there. 6. Wroclaw Panthers Wroclaw impressed in all three phases of the game against the Enthroners. QB DJ Irons Jr. threw for three TDs and ran for two more. RB Dawid Brzozowski added 113 rushing yards. The defense had five sacks and a pick-six, and the return game was dangerous all day. The Munich Ravens present a true tough test for the Panthers in week 2. 7. Madrid Bravos Madrid started their ELF journey with a win over Hamburg, but the offense still needs time to find its rhythm. QB Reid Sinnett and his receivers are not yet in sync — but they still managed to get the W. If they can establish the running game, they could become a tough challenge for the top teams. 8. Munich Ravens Munich won a tough defensive game against the Raiders. Their run game worked well, but the passing game is a concern. Young QB Russell Tabor completed under 50% of his passes and threw two interceptions. Still, the defense showed they can compete with anyone. If Tabor shows an improved performance in Week 2, a jump into the Top 5 is definitely possible. 9. Frankfurt Galaxy Frankfurt had a tough first matchup against the Surge. They struggled to pressure the QB and couldn’t match the Surge offensively. WR Terry Wright didn’t make much impact in the passing game but showed his speed on special teams. In the game against the Madrid Bravos, they need to prove themselves and show that they can compete with the top teams. Get your tickets for the 2025 Championship Game in Stuttgart! 10. Raiders Tirol The Raiders were limited to just 58 rushing yards — surprising for one of the best RB groups in the league. QB Conor Miller had an average game with only 21 completions on 38 attempts. Their defense was solid, but the offense must improve. In the game against the Mercenaries, the Raiders need to make a strong statement and show that they are a playoff team. 11. Hamburg Sea Devils Hamburg gave Madrid a good fight and surprised many with their strong defense. RBs Chrisman Kyei and Lucas Candido looked solid. However, penalties and special teams mistakes — including just 2 of 5 field goals made — hurt their chances. 12. Berlin Thunder A huge win for Berlin with seven passing touchdowns from QB Jakeb Sullivan and over 570 total yards. But it’s important to stay grounded — their Week 2 matchup against the strong Ravens defense will be the real test. 13. Prague Lions Prague kept things close with Vienna in the first half and showed improvement from last season. Their passing game struggled, and they only converted 2 of 13 third downs. Still, there’s potential in this team what they can prove against the Sea Devils in Week 2. 14. Helvetic Mercenaries The Mercenaries lost 12–56 to Nordic Storm but had some good moments, especially from QB Isaiah Weed, who had a 69-yard rushing touchdown. More consistency is needed, and their Week 2 matchup against the Raiders won’t be easy. 15. Fehérvár Enthroners A tough loss against Wroclaw. The special teams gave up too many big returns, and the offensive line allowed five sacks. Things need to change fast, with the Vienna Vikings up next. 16. Cologne Centurions Cologne had a rough start against Berlin, allowing nine touchdowns. The young team showed flashes, especially with a 92-yard TD pass from QB Jan Leuker to Austin Osborne. Their upcoming bye week comes at a perfect time to regroup. The season is just beginning, and things can change quickly. Let’s see who rises and who falls in next week’s power ranking! The former NFL pass catcher returns to the ELF, joining the Paris Musketeers. The veteran receiver gives the Musketeers another weapon on the outside as they hope to make another deep playoff run in 2025.  A trailblazers next step Dablé-Wolf was one of the first players in Europe to gain attention from the NFL back in 2015 as the speedy and physical receiver put up video game-like numbers in the German Football League. Dablé-Wolf caught the attention of NFL International Player Pathway scouts and found himself in the NFL a few months later. The Frenchmen played for the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons in 2016 and 2017, before returning to Europe.  A homecoming return to play Dablé-Wolf returns to the ELF after sitting out the past two seasons. The 36-year old receiver put up 54 catches 653 yards and three touchdowns in 2022 playing for the Leipzig Kings. He along with fellow Musketeer receiver Anthony Mahoungou give Paris quarterback Jaylon Henderson a pair of receivers with NFL experience. This will be the first time he’s played for a French team since 2016.  Anthony Dablé-Wolf will make his return in dramatic fashion as he, head coach Jack Del Rio, and the Musketeers will host the Stuttgart Surge this Sunday at 13:00 CET. What a amazing week one of the 2025 ELF football season. Whether it was nail-bitting finishes, highlight plays, or of course the league's passionate fans that make the gameday so specail. It was great to see ELF football back in full swing.On the Fantasy side of things we were able to record the top scorers from a fantasy perfective for week one. Due to the transition to StatsPerform, team points will only be awarded starting from Week 2. That said, team stats for Week 1 will be added by today, and once they’re in, we’ll announce the winner of the first weekly prize. Some features that were originally planned for Week 1 — like adding friends and live player stats — had to be postponed due to the StatsPerform integration. Quarterback: Jakeb Sullivan, Berlin Thunder (47.02 Points) The veteran threw only two incomplete passes on the day as he led the Thunder to a easy victory. Sullivan finished the game with a league best 413 passing yards and a impressive seven touchdowns. RB1: Glen Toonga, Nordic Storm (24.50 Points) The reigning MVP picked up where he left off last season with 114 yards on only 12 carries. Toonga also scored the first touchdown in the history of the Nordic Storm before leaving the game with an injury. In the passing game, he addd three catches for 41 yards. RB2: Gennadiy Adams, Berlin Thunder (23.90 Points) Adam's ran for 66 yards on only 11 carries reaching the endzone once. He also added a receiving touchdown on two catches for 33 yards. WR1: Bryce Goggin, Berlin Thunder (41.60 Points) Goggin introduced himself to the ELF with a monster performance catching 7 passes for 166 yards and two scores. Goggin created several huge plays and seems to be the go-to guy for Sullivna moving forward in Berlin.  WR2: Brendan Beaulieu, Nordic Storm (32.90 Points) In Beaulieu's first ELF game he caught 9 passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns as he helped the Nordic Storm roll to a big road victory in thier team's first ever game. TE: Adria Botello Moreno, Nordic Storm (18.50 Points) Another member of the Storm on this list is veteran Botello Moreno. The Spanish veteran scored two touchdowns on only 4 catches finishing the game with only 25 yards, but two touchdowns.  Flex: Auston Osborne, Cologne Centurions (30.90 Points) The former Bowling Green standout was maybe the only silver lining for Cologne in this game. The ex-D1 pass catcher hauled in 8 passes for 169 yards and a score of 92 yards in his first ELF game.  Kicker: Mathy's Dupoint, Paris Musketeers & Timo Bronn, Stuttgart Surge (9 Points) Both kickers looked great in week one hitting field goals in key spots for thier team. Dupont hit three short field goals vs the Rhein Fire while Bronn hit two field goals and 3 extra points in his return to the Surge.  Defense/Special teams: Wroclaw Panthers (30 Points) The Panthers held the Enthroners too only 12 points in a resounding week one win. Panthers defensive back Devan Burrell scored twice once on a kick return and again on a interception return for maybe the play off the week. The season has started, the first matchday is over. Some teams have started with a defeat, others with a win. How do the results affect the winning in season opening games? Note: Since not all teams have been part of the European League of Football since 2021, not every team has played the same number of opening games. Therefore, the sorting is based on the percentage of success.  Some fans must be very strong now. Four franchises have not been able to win any of their season-opening games yet. Frankfurt Galaxy (2021: L, 2022: L, 2023: L, 2024: L. 2025 L) Fehérvár Enthroners (2023: L, 2024: L, 2025: L) Prague Lions (2023: L, 2024: L, 2025: L) Helvetic Mercenaries (2023: L, 2024: L, 2025: L) After the clear defeat against Berlin Thunder, the success rate of the Cologne Centurions has changed. Cologne Centurions (2021: L, 2022: W, 2023: L, 2024: L, 2025: L)   Good news for the Munich Ravens. In this year, they were able to win their first season opening game.  Munich Ravens (2023: L, 2024: L, 2025: W) The Berlin Thunder improved their position with a clear 63:14 victory against the Cologne Centurions in Week 1. Berlin Thunder (2021: L, 2022: L, 2023: W, 2024: L, 2025: W) The narrow and tough 12-13 defeat against the Madrid Bravos caused the Hamburg Sea Devils to slip from 75 to 60 percent. Hamburg Sea Devils (2021: W, 2022: W, 2023: L, 2024: W, 2025: L) Not the start to the season the Raiders had hoped for. After the loss to the Munich Ravens, they were only able to win half of their season opening games. Raiders Tirol  (2022: L, 2023: W, 2024: W, 2025: L) We have made it past the halfway mark. For the first time, the Musketeers were unable to win their first game of the season. They were only two points away from a win against champions Rhein Fire. Paris Musketeers (2023: W, 2024: W, 2025: L) We are getting closer to perfection. Nevertheless, there have been defeats. But in this year, Stuttgart Surge won their Opening Game against Frankfurt Galaxy. Stuttgart Surge (2021: W, 2022: L, 2023: W, 2024: W, 2025 W)   Let's move on to the elite. What a start to the fifth season of the European league of Football is behind us! The first matchday had great matchups and many highlights in store. In addition to touchdown shows, there were exciting matchups that were only decided shortly before the end. Hamburg Sea Devils defense shines against Madrid Bravos One of these was the clash between the Hamburg Sea Devils and Madrid Bravos, which ended 12:13. In the Spanish capital, it was above all the defensive players who shone. Three-time Defensive Player of the Year Kyle Kicthens told “firstdownmag”: "Everybody thought our defense gonna be bad, but we had proved a lot of people. We surprised a lot of people today." The Sea Devils' defense allowed only 13 points against a star-loaded Bravos team. Bravos head coach Andrew Weidinger expressed his frustration on the Spanish  "8 Costuras Podcast": "We expected them to come out and play hard. It shouldn't have been quite as close as it was, but that's our own fault. That's my fault."  Bravos head coach is struggling with missed chances against Sea Devils The missed chances in particular annoyed the experienced coach: "We got to just practice and get better because we had our opportunities. We didn't capitalize on them." Quarterback Reid Sinnet had his star receiver Aron Cruickshank open several times, including for touchdowns, but narrowly missed. Another touchdown was taken away from the duo by a penalty. Both played a good game, but could have crowned their performance and given their head coach a more relaxed evening. Weidinger praises his defense, but sees huge potential for improvement in the offense. The next chance to prove themselves comes in Week 2, again at home in the Estadio Vallehermoso against Frankfurt Galaxy, who are coming off a clear defeat against Stuttgart Surge. ©Henning Rohlfs Two blocked field goals decide Sea Devils at Bravos The Sea Devils' offense also had to struggle with a good opposing defense. However, the end of the game was particularly bitter. Sea Devils Kicker Eric Schlomm had victory on his feed shortly before the end. It would have been the fourth win in the fifth season opening game. But Schlomm showed nerves. His kick hit the left post. The Hamburg Sea Devils lose, celebrations for the Madrid Bravos. Or were they? A yellow flag put the brakes on the Spaniards' euphoria. The field goal had to be retaken due to a false start penalty. Another try for Schlomm, but he also failed to score the second game-winning field goal. Watch the Sea Devils at Bravos highlights here! Sea Devils head coach Rowland looking forward to more Despite the disappointment, Lee Rowland takes positives from his first game as Head Coach of the Hamburg Sea Devils: "I'm very proud of the boys. They showed that they can play football despite last week's setbacks. Of course, there are things we still need to work on, but we showed today who we are and what we stand for. It was a game that was decided by just one point - that's football." Wide receiver Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo, who still wore the Bravos' jersey in the 2024 season, feels the same way: "We acted like a family, you could feel that on the field. The potential in this team is huge. Now it's time to keep working hard and grow as a unit." Raiders let game against Ravens slip away in last quarter The game between Raiders Tirol and Munich Ravens was also decided shortly before the end. In the end, the Ravens recorded a 20:7 victory. The Raiders were still leading 7:6 until the fourth quarter, but two late touchdowns by the Ravens decided the game. Raiders safety Vincent Müller said reflectively after the game: "A lot of mistakes, a lot of lack of concentration. We beat ourselves today. They are a good team, but we shot ourselves in the foot. In the end, you lose 20:7, despite the big plays. You lose and win together."   Now the focus is completely on the game in week 2 against the Helvetic Mercenaries. "Not the start we had in mind. But we have a tough week of training ahead of us so that we can get our first win next week at homecoming," says wide receiver Philipp Haun. Watch the Raiders at Ravens highlights here! Musketeers narrowly failed to beat champions Rhein Fire Meanwhile, the current ELF champions Rhein Fire won by just two points against the Paris Musketeers. The French side could also have secured victory in the final quarter. But the Rhein Fire defense had other plans. First, they averted an almost certain field goal with two sacks and good tackling. Fire's star defender Flamur Simon then robbed them of their last chance to win with a late-game interception.   The Paris Musketeers face Stuttgart Surge in week 2, who showed good form with a clear win against Frankfurt Galaxy. After a amazing start to the 2025 season yesterday let's take a look at the the storylines for Week 1 Sunday: Nordic Storm at Helvetic Mercenaries - 13:00 CET New team.. same stars? Former MVP quarterback Jadrian Clark and running back Glen Toonga will make their highly anticipated debuts for the expansion Nordic Storm this Sunday. Fans already have high expectations for the Storm without even seeming them play yet. On the other side NFL veteran receiver Keelan Cole will make his own ELF debut for a promising Swiss squad.  Cologne Centurions at Berlin Thunder - 13:00 CET Can the new look Thunder make some noise in 2025? The Thunder go into season five with new uniforms and new head coach Jag Bal at the Helm. Veteran quarterback Jakeb Sullivan is joined by his former teammate Gennadiy Adams and 2024 All star William Lydle. The Capital city squad is eager to prove the doubters wrong and shake things up in the North division.    Raiders Tirol at Munich Raven - 13:00 CET The ELF's best new rivalry?Today's match up between these two teams marks the latest chapter in whats been a epic rivalry between Munich and Tirol. Only a few hours apart these two squads know each other well. Last year the Ravens ended the Raiders playoff hopes defeating them in the final week of the regular season, starting a long off-season in Tirol. Expect this to be a fiesty game between two squads that don't like each other.  Vienna Vikings at Prague Lions - 16:25 CET Running it back in Vienna The Vikings nearly pulled off a perfect season in 2024 before loosing the championship game to the Rhein Fire. This year they return the core of their squad and have added some intriguing new pieces. For Prague new head coach Dave Warner has brought in a influx of talent as the Czech team looks to be much improved from last season.   Frankfurt Galaxy at Stuttgart Surge - 16:25 CET Are the Surge a team of destiny? The Stuttgart Surge enter the season with a remarkable opportunity in front of them, to secure a home game in the ELF championship in September. They return much of the 2024 squad and have also added new stars to a strong Nucleus. Season five is here! Week 1 in the European League of Football started with some good Matchups and highlights. Let's take a look at the early games of Saturday 17th May.  Watch all plays live with the Game Pass on DAZN Fehérvár Enthroners @ Wroclaw Panthers: 12:55  The Wroclaw Panthers remain strong in season opening games, winning their first game of the season six out of six times. Quarterback Demarcus "DJ" Irons Jr. in particular impressed in his first game in a Panthers jersey. The A-import added a strong new dimension to the Panthers' offense. The dual threat showed his qualities in both the pass and the run, and opens up a lot of space and opportunities for star running back David Brzozowski through clever play-actions. Irons scored his first ELF touchdown already on the third play with a strong 26-yard run. In addition to strong footwork, the newcomer also impressed with excellent ball placement. Irons Jr. finished the game with three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns, racking up 117 passing and 77 rushing yards. Teammate Devin Burrell proved once again why he was named Special Teams Player of the Year last season, scoring another punt return touchdown in addition to plenty of return yards. The A-import also made a crazy 82-yard interception return, during which he broke several tackles. The Fehérvár Enthroners on the other side made some good plays. In the end, however, they were unable to keep up with the Panthers' offensive power. In addition, they showed some weaknesses on defense. Quarterback Brock Domann still showed a solid game, but was often hold back by the strong defense of the opponent, the bad weather from the second half on and his own offensive line (four sacks). In the end, the only thing the Enthroners won on this day is the coin toss.     "DJ" Irons impressed. ©Lukasz Skwiot Watch the Enthroners at Panthers Highlights Rhein Fire @ Paris Musketeers: 17:15  The Rhein Fire reminded fans that they are still the team to beat in the ELF, extending their win streak against the Paris Musketeers. New quarterback Chad Jeffries made several big plays in this one, both as a runner and a passer. The veteran ran and threw for a touchdown in his Rhein Fire debut.However, the play of the day came on the defense for the Fire as All-Star homegrown linebacker Flamur Simon made a diving interception with under a minute to go, sealing the game for the Fire.The defending champions spoiled the debut of new Paris head coach Jack Del Rio and quarterback Jaylon Henderson. The Musketeers out gained the Fire in yardage but struggled in the red zone. Here are the storylines for Week 1 as we kick off the first gameday of the 2025 ELF season! Fehérvár Enthroners at Wroclaw Panthers New goals for the Panthers   The Panthers go into 2025 after missing the playoffs for two consecutive seasons. This year they are hoping to set the tone for step forward in 2025 against an Enthroners team they have dominated in the past.  Rhein Fire at Paris Musketeers Jack Del Rio’s debut New Musketeers head coach Jack Del Rio will make his debut for the French squad against the back to back defending champions and of course his former NFL opponent Jim Tomsula’s squad. This game features several all star players and the league’s two most notable coaches in what's sure to be an instant classic.  Hamburg Sea Devils at Madrid Bravos Can the Bravos charge forward? Year one in Madrid can only be described as a smashing success, as the Spanish squad made the playoffs in their first year. The European League of Football is entering its fifth season, and Week 1 already brings us some top-level matchups. After a long off-season, all teams have worked hard to build their rosters. To make it easier for ELF fans, we’ve created an overview of all players and their status for Game Week 1. As the 2025 season kicks off this Saturday, fans across Europe and around the world are eager to see how their teams will perform. This week, we will dive into three standout games that promise the perfect mix of excitement and storylines.  Paris Musketeers vs. Rhein Fire – A clash of titans  The 2025 ELF season opens with a must-watch matchup as the Paris Musketeers host the defending champions, Rhein Fire, on May 17th. Paris enters the season with renewed energy under the leadership of former NFL head coach Jack Del Rio, aiming to build upon their impressive 10-2 regular season record from 2024. Rhein Fire, known for their explosive offense and solid defense, will be a formidable opponent.  However, they have lost their star quarterback Jardrian Clark and their star running back Glen Toonga to the Nordic Storm over the offseason. This game not only sets the tone for both teams' seasons but also offers fans a glimpse into how the Musketeers will fare under new leadership against the reigning champions.  Munich Ravens vs. Raiders Tirol – A southern showdown  This Sunday, the Munich Ravens face off against the Raiders Tirol in a highly anticipated Bavarian showdown. The Ravens, entering their third season, have been steadily building a competitive roster and are ready to make a strong statement in their home opener. The Raiders, with a rich history and a reputation for disciplined play, will test what the Ravens are made of. This matchup is more than just a game; it's a battle for regional pride and a chance for both teams to establish early momentum in the season. Fans can look forward to a game filled with tactical depth, emerging talents, and the electrifying atmosphere that only a derby can provide.  Prague Lions vs. Vienna Vikings – A test of champions  Also on May 18th, the Prague Lions welcome the Vienna Vikings in a game that starts a rising team against a seasoned powerhouse. The Vikings, boasting a perfect 12-0 record in the previous regular season, are known for their robust defense and dynamic offense. Prague, eager to make their mark in the league, will view this game as an opportunity to challenge themselves against one of the ELF's elite teams right off the bat. The matchup offers a compelling narrative: can the underdogs disrupt the established dominance of the Vikings over the last years? The time has finally come! The fifth season of the European League of Football is about to start. The time has finally come! Players, managers, and fans of Nordic Storm are certainly thinking the same thing. For the young franchise from Copenhagen, Denmark, May 18th, 2025 will be a very special day.  That's when Storm will not only play their first game in the European League of Football, but also their first game in franchise history. The team managers built an entire organization from scratch this offseason. The first success could be celebrated against the Helvetic Mercenaries.  However, a new ELF team was not always immediately successful in its first game in the European League of Football. We take a look at the first ELF games in the history of the current teams.  The Ferhévár Enthroners did not get off to a particularly good start. They opened the season with a clear 3:36 defeat at home against Berlin Thunder in 2023. The Wroclaw Panthers are the champions in season opening games. They haven't lost one yet, and accordingly won the first ELF game in franchise history. At home, the Panthers beat the Cologne Centurions 2021 in a spectacular game with 55:39.  The Prague Lions, on the other hand, suffered a defeat. They played their first ELF game at home in 2023. They lost 15:18 against the Leipzig Kings, who are no longer part of the ELF.  The last team in the East Division, however, was successful again. In 2022, the Vienna Vikings played away against the Raiders Tirol and won 29:23.     Berlin Thunder have been part of the ELF since 2021. They lost their first game at home 27:37 against the Leipzig Kings.  The Hamburg Sea Devils also started 2021, but they did a better job. In Hamburg, the Sea Devils beat Frankfurt Galaxy 17:15.  The current ELF champions Rhein Fire also won. In 2022, they also played their first game against Frankfurt Galaxy. Fire won 29:26 on the road.  The Helvetic Mercenaries lost their first game under their new name in 2024. The Barcelona Dragons won 23:19 in Switzerland. Madrid Bravos also competed in the ELF for the first time in 2024. The team from Spain won the Classico against the Barcelona Dragons by a clear 42:12.      The Munich Ravens, meanwhile, suffered a defeat at the start. They lost 38:59 at home against the Raiders Tirol in 2023. The Austrians were also unable to win their first game in 2022. The Raiders Tirol lost against the Vienna Vikings with 23:29. It was the only season opening game so far that was not won.  The Cologne Centurions have been part of the European League of Football since 2021. They lost their first game against the Wroclaw Panthers by a clear 39:55. Just like Frankfurt Galaxy. Only they didn't lose to the Panthers, but to the Sea Devils, and by a much narrower margin of 15:17. The Paris Musketeers have delighted their fans in two years in the ELF. This was also the case in the first franchise game in 2023, which they won 24:17 against the Cologne Centurions.  Stuttgart Surge were also successful in their first game, but in 2021. Now, with only a few days until the start of the 2025 ELF season, one thing is clear: the West Division is stacked with talent and full of exciting storylines. The Frankfurt Galaxy are one of the most successful teams in ELF history. They won the league’s first championship in 2021 and had strong seasons in 2022 and 2023. But 2024 was a disappointment — the team ended with a 4-8 record. That’s why Frankfurt made big changes. Part-time coaches were replaced by full-time American coaches, and many new players joined the roster. The goal is clear: bring the Galaxy back to glory. Ready for the big stage The Paris Musketeers improved a lot in 2024. After a 6-6 record in their first ELF season, they came back much stronger last year. They lost only two regular-season games — both against Rhein Fire — and won their playoff wildcard game against the Munich Ravens. Their season ended in the semifinals, but they showed great fight. In 2025, with a new coaching staff and quarterback, Paris is ready to fight for a spot in the Championship Game. One step further? The Stuttgart Surge had a similar story to Paris. After tough first seasons, they made a big step forward in 2023 by reaching the ELF Championship Game. They lost that game to Rhein Fire, and in 2024, their season also ended in the semifinals — again, against Rhein Fire. Now, with a stronger and deeper roster, Stuttgart enters its fifth ELF season hoping to finally finish what they started. A new era begins Last season was a rollercoaster for the Cologne Centurions. They finished with a 6-6 record and went through many ups and downs. In the off-season, things got even wilder. A change in ownership brought some quiet weeks in player recruiting, but now the full roster is in place and the team is ready to go. The big question: will Cologne show a new, improved face on the field — or will the off-season chaos continue to affect their play? He also has great chemistry with quarterback Jadrian Clark, since the two have played together before. Getting a top-tier tight end for this low price is a smart move for any fantasy team. Sit’em – Week 1 picks QB Russel Tabor – Munich Ravens – 3,600,000 GC Tabor joined the Munich Ravens with a 3-year contract after playing college football at North Carolina. He has potential, but this week he faces the strong Raiders Tirol defense – a tough challenge for any young QB. His high price and uncertain performance make him a risky pick for Week 1. QB Javarian Smith – Prague Lions – 1,900,000 GC Smith is back in the ELF after starting last season with the Hamburg Sea Devils. While he has good dual-threat skills and a great price, he’s playing against the Vienna Vikings, who had one of the best defenses in the league last season. It’s better to wait for a more favorable matchup. WR Austin Mitchell – Paris Musketeers – 3,200,000 GC Mitchell is one of the biggest playmakers in the ELF, but in Week 1, he faces the Rhein Fire defense – which was the best in points allowed and second-best against the pass last season. The Paris Musketeers have announced the signing of their final American import player, defensive back Jamalcolm Liggins. The experienced playmaker has already played for two ELF teams – Frankfurt Galaxy and Raiders Tirol – and now joins his third franchise in the league.  Playmaker finds a new home Liggins brings strong numbers and plenty of experience to Paris. In 28 ELF games, he has recorded 82 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 9 interceptions, 1 defensive touchdown, 37 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. With these impressive stats, the Musketeers hope Liggins will strengthen their defensive backfield and become a key part of their defense. Tough start to the season The 2025 season will begin with a tough challenge for Paris, as they face the reigning back-to-back champions, Rhein Fire, in Week 1. Just before the start of the new season, the Paris Musketeers have added more strength to their defense. The team signed French safety Souleymane Karamoko, who brings experience from the Canadian Football League (CFL), where he played for three years with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The 28-year-old is not only a strong safety but can also play as a linebacker, giving the Musketeers valuable flexibility. After reaching the semifinals last season, Paris is aiming for even bigger success this year. Versatile defender to strengthen the backfield At 1.88 meters tall and weighing 94 kilograms, Karamoko has the perfect size to make a big impact in the European League of Football. As season five of the ELF rapidly approaches let’s take a look at a shortlist of new players entering the league that have the potential to become future stars of the upcoming season: WR Keelan Cole - Helvetic Mercenaries Cole’s resume speaks for itself, putting up 2,832 yards and 14 touchdowns in 93 NFL games over the course of a long and fruitful NFL career. Cole will no doubt be the face of the franchise for the Helvetic Mercenaries as he hopes to take the Swiss squad to new heights. QB Reid Sinnett - Madrid Bravos Sinnet is a veteran professional quarterback having spent 4 seasons in the NFL with several teams. He also was a starter in the XFL and USFL. Now he brings all his pro experience to the up and coming Madrid Bravos team led by new head coach Andrew Weidinger.  QB Jaylon Henderson - Paris Musketeers Henderson has been on ELF teams watchlists for several years now as the former Boise State Bronco has been tearing it up in the German Football League the past two seasons. After winning back to back titles and putting up video game like numbers in the GFL.  The Musketeers were finally able to convince Henderson to Join the ELF. He now takes over for ELF veteran Zach Edwards on a Musketeers team that made the semi-finals and is now led by former NFL head coach Jack Del Rio.    WR Jeff Cotton - Stuttgart Surge Cotton comes to Europe for the first time in his career this season. The former Idaho Vandals star spent time with the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Arizona Cardinals bouncing around different NFL teams for three seasons. Now he teams up with the veteran QB Reilly Hennessey as the Surge hope to make a push at the championship game.    WR Brendan Beaulieu - Nordic Storm The Nordic Storm are already stacked with talent as they have MVP QB Jadrian Clark and MVP running back Glen Toonga on thier offense. One new face to the league that might suprise fans on the Storm in American Brendan Beaulieu. The Paris Musketeers have added british linebacker Kadel King to their roster. The E-import joins Jack Del Rio's defense as the French squad hopes to make a run at the title this season.  The 29-year old linebacker was part of the ELF’s inaugural season in 2021 playing for the champion Frankfurt Galaxy.  Prior to joining the ELF in, King played for the Frankfurt Universe and Potsdam Rebels of the German Football League as well as suiting up in Finland for the Kuopio Steelers, Poland for the Bydgoszcz Archers, and Spain for the Mallorca Voltors.  King began his football journey with the Kent Exiles in the UK. The London native was invited to the NFL International Player Pathway Combine as well as the CFL Global Combine. After playing for the Bristol Academy Pride and Kent Exiles in the UK, King flew to Canada to chase his football dreams. A year with the Canada Prep Academy led to three seasons studying and playing at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. The season kicks off in only 16 days, as teams are excited to hit the game field for the first time since last year. Let's take a look at some of the top moves teams made last month to prepare for week one.   Rhein Fire get WR with NFL experience Rhein Fire has completed its American player roster with the signing of wide receiver Rory Starkey. He joins quarterback Chad Jeffries and defensive backs Omari Williams and Darius Nash as the fourth American on the team. Starkey will add even more talent to an already strong wide receiver group.   After his time in college, he had opportunities with the Green Bay Packers and the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL.  Madrid Bravos add DROY The Madrid Bravos have made a strong addition to their defensive line by signing Pierre-Yves Majo. The 24-year-old defensive lineman played his first season in the European League of Football in 2024 and immediately made an impact.   Majo played 12 games for the Helvetic Mercenaries last season, recording 39 tackles, 7 sacks, and 16 tackles for loss. His outstanding performance earned him the title of Defensive Rookie of the Year.   Paris Musketeers sign All-American DT The Paris Musketeers have signed defensive tackle Lamonte McDougle. The American joins former NFL head coach Jack Del Rio in the French capital as the first American import on defense for the French squad.  McDougle played for West Virginia, UTEP, and Washington State during his college career, building a reputation as a disruptive nose tackle.  Enthroners make an import switch The European League of Football season hasn’t started yet, but the Fehérvár Enthroners have already made changes to their roster. They have signed American defensive lineman Michael Badejo, who will replace Emmit Gooden. Badejo brings with him D1 experience from SMU and was a standout last season in the German Football League.  Surge bring back star safety In a move that will excite Stuttgart Surge fans across the league, defensive back Raheem Simiram-Wilson is returning for the 2025 season. After a breakout campaign in 2024, the 31-year-old veteran has re-signed with the team and is set to remain a central piece in head coach Jordan Neuman’s defensive puzzle. The former CFL starter had 6 interceptions last season in only ten games, making an enormous impact on the Stuttgart Surge defense.  Munich Ravens load up on defense The Munich Ravens will bring back defenders Wael Nasri, Etuale Lui, and Christoph Nitzlnander. As the Bavarian squad hopes to make another playoff run this year.  One new face for the Ravens will be safety Cole Coleman. Cole knows the ELF, playing for the Vienna Vikings last season.
