Sea Devils keep Special Team Starter Jakob Stork

The Hamburg Sea Devils make a decision in the Special Team. Punter Jakob Stork extends his contract. The only 21-year-old made his ELF debut last season.

"I am very grateful to be part of this great team!" says Stork. He adds: "I'm looking forward to the coming season and will do everything I can to use my skills to put the team in a better starting position. Together, we will do our best... for Hamburg!"

Stork mainly played as a punter last season, but also kicked four field goals, of which he converted two. He also had four successful points after touchdowns.

As a punter, he gained 1953 yards on 59 punts. That's an average of 33.1 yards per attempt. Eleven of them made it inside the opponent's 20 yards. Five even cracked the 50-yard mark.

The Sea Devils therefore keep their starting punter and their starting kicker. A few weeks ago, kicker Eric Schlomm also extended his contract.
