After losing two key offensive playmakers — wide receiver Bryce Goggin and running back Gennadiy Adams — the Berlin Thunder have responded with the signing of two experienced international imports ahead of Week 5. USC-Alum Samuel Oram-Jones joins backfield To replace Gennadiy Adams, the Thunder have added Samuel Oram-Jones, a 27-year-old British running back with U.S. college experience. Oram-Jones previously played for Vanderbilt and USC, two prestigious programs in NCAA Division I football. In 2023, he appeared in six games for the Prague Lions, rushing for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns on 34 carries. Most recently, he played for the All Mitsubishi Lions in Japan’s X-League, continuing to build international experience. Former LA Rams WR Brandon Polk replaces Goggin Berlin also added Brandon Polk, a dynamic wide receiver who will take over for Bryce Goggin. Polk was signed by the LA Rams in 2020 as an undrafted free agent after a productive college career at Penn State and James Madison University. Across 56 college games (26 starts), Polk totaled 101 receptions for 1,546 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also contributed as a rusher and kick returner, amassing 2,412 all-purpose yards. Polk is no stranger to Germany, having played most recently for the Potsdam Royals in the German Football League. His speed, route running, and experience make him a promising addition to Berlin’s receiving corps. With these signings, the Thunder aim to stay competitive in the North Division and bounce back from recent challenges with new firepower on offense. The game couldn't have started more painfully for Berlin Thunder against the Hamburg Sea Devils. The first three drives of the game ended in turnovers. Quarterback Jakeb Sullivan threw two interceptions in the first two drives, including a pick six, and receiver Bais Kouanda fumbled after a big play. Sullivan therefore had to take risks early on and threw a total of 354 passing yards, one passing touchdowns and four interceptions. Thunder finally got into the game in the third quarter. However, the comeback came far too late. Also, because the game was significantly influenced by a total of six turnovers. Berlin Thunder had to take four, the Hamburg Sea Devils two.   Watch the Highlights here! Berlin Thunder at Hamburg Sea Devils: 14:31 The Sea Devils' defense put in a strong performance early on. The offense started the game with a fumble in the first drive, but then scored three touchdowns in a row. Among them was a spectacular 83-yard pass from quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa to Terryon Robinson. The Sea Devils took the momentum early on, something that would not change for the rest of the game. Tagovailoa played well overall, gaining 230 passing yards and three passing touchdowns, but also throwing one interception. Robinson secured 113 receiving yards and one touchdown, and Running back Chrisman Kyei picked up momentum toward the end of the game and racked up 116 rushing yards. Sea Devils defensive superstar Kyle Kitchens, who faced his old team for the first time since his transfer, also had reason to smile. Although the three-time ELF Defensive Player of the Year did not record a sack and only made two tackles (one for loss), he secured an important victory against his former team. The Sea Devils thus go into their Week 5 game against Rhein Fire with a 2-2 record. For Berlin Thunder, it is their third defeat in a row. As we head into Week 4 of the European League of Football, every game starts to matter more. Saturday brings four exciting matchups across the league, featuring a team still looking for their first win, top performer, a game that will decide the fate of an entire nation and an explosive encounter. Raiders Tirol at Vienna Vikings - 18:00 CET Battle of Austria, Raiders winless and a clash of brothers An absolute ELF top match with many storylines is ahead of us. For the seventh time in the history of the European League of Football, the “Battle of Austria” will take place: Raiders Tirol vs. Vienna Vikings. The Raiders have not won any of the six games yet. Will Week 4 2025 finally be their time? The Vikings are also fighting for their crazy streak, with over 1,000 days without a defeat in the regular season. It will be a particularly emotional game for Vikings defender Lucky Ogbevoen, who was himself a Raider in 2022. His brother Precious Ogbevoen is also a Raider, and he will be facing him in a direct duel. Berlin Thunder at Hamburg Sea Devils - 18:00 CET Kyle Kitchens against his old love The matchup that most ELF fans have been looking forward to for months. Three-time ELF Defensive Player of the Year Kyle Kitchens caused a stir in the offseason when he left Berlin Thunder to join the Hamburg Sea Devils. Now, the two teams are facing each other for the first time since the superstar's transfer. Based purely on statistics, the move has not yet paid off for Kitchens (nine tackles, one sack). So perhaps the reunion is coming at just the right time. Madrid Bravos at Fehévár Enthroners - 19:00 CET Will Bravos high-flyers continue their run? Enthroners want first victory Meanwhile, quarterback Reid Sinnet and his top receiver Aron Cruickshank from the Madrid Bravos have really taken off, judging by the stats. Sinnet leads the league with 1,000 passing yards after just three games. The former NFL player throws almost ten yards per pass. He also has nine touchdowns and three interceptions. Meanwhile, his US teammate Cruickshank leads the receiver list in terms of receiving yards. His quarterback threw to him 30 times, and the 24-year-old caught the ball 30 times. He also scored three touchdowns. Will the high-flying run against the Fehévár Enthroners continue? Meanwhile, the team from Hungary is still waiting for its first win of the season. After an eventful third week in the European League of Football, it's time to take a fresh look at how the teams stack up. From championship rematches to dominant shutouts, Week 3 delivered plenty of storylines that shaped this updated Power Ranking. 1. Vienna Vikings Previous Ranking: 2 The Vienna Vikings got their revenge for the 2024 Championship Game by defeating Rhein Fire with an impressive defensive performance. Holding Fire to just 7 points, the Vikings proved they are currently the hottest team in the league. 2. Stuttgart Surge Previous Ranking: 4 Stuttgart bounced back strong after their Week 2 loss by dominating the Hamburg Sea Devils. Scoring in all three phases and shutting down the Sea Devils’ dangerous run game, Surge made a powerful statement. 3. Nordic Storm Previous Ranking: 5 The Nordic Storm are now 3-0 in their debut season — joining the Vikings and Munich Ravens as the only undefeated teams. Their defense was lights out in Week 3, shutting out Berlin in their first-ever home game. Now, they can rest during their well-earned bye week. 4. Rhein Fire Previous Ranking: 1 Fire drop after a frustrating offensive showing against the Vikings, scoring just one touchdown. They’ve only played two games so far, but their 24 total points is a far cry from the explosive Fire we’ve seen in previous seasons. 5. Munich Ravens Previous Ranking: 6 Even with a bye week, the Ravens rise in the rankings. Their physical defense and big-play offense have impressed, and they’ll get a real test in Week 4 when they take on Stuttgart Surge. 6. Frankfurt Galaxy Previous Ranking: 7 A last-second field goal gave Frankfurt the edge over Paris. Matthew McKay and the offense were explosive early, while the defense dominated for most of the game. Though they nearly let it slip away, Galaxy showed they can contend with the league’s best. 7. Paris Musketeers Previous Ranking: 3 Despite a late comeback, the Musketeers' offense struggled for most of the game. Their defense couldn’t hold Frankfurt early either. They’ll need to find consistency on both sides to rise again. 8. Madrid Bravos Previous Ranking: 8 The Bravos earned their second win of the season, but defensive issues remain. Raiders Tirol Previous Ranking: 10 The Raiders continue to lean on their dominant run game and defense. Even without Conor Miller, they cruised to victory in Week 3. With N’Kosi Perry back under center, they’ll face their biggest test yet in the “Battle of Austria” vs. Vienna. 10. Wroclaw Panthers Previous Ranking: 9 The Panthers slide one spot during their bye week, as the Raiders earned another win and added a new QB. Wroclaw will need to prove themselves again in Week 4 against Prague. 11. Hamburg Sea Devils Previous Ranking: 11 Hamburg stay in the same spot despite a tough loss to Stuttgart. Most of the points they allowed came from self-inflicted mistakes. If they can clean those up, they have the tools to climb. 12. Prague Lions Previous Ranking: 13 Prague earn their first win and move up a spot. Adam Zouzelka stood out on offense, but QB Javarian Smith still struggles to get the passing game going. Week 4 vs. Wroclaw is a key test. 13. Berlin Thunder Previous Ranking: 12 Thunder drop after a shutout loss to Nordic Storm. The injuries to Bryce Goggin and Jakeb Sullivan make things even tougher. They need a strong showing in Week 4 to bounce back. 14. Helvetic Mercenaries Previous Ranking: 14 The Mercenaries are still searching for their first win, but at least the offense showed signs of life with 35 points. The defense, however, remains a concern — allowing 44+ points in every game. 15. Fehérvár Enthroners Previous Ranking: 15 With QB Brock Domann on IR, homegrown Máté Hegedüs is leading the offense. New imports Jon Cole and Rashad Still give him weapons, but we still need to see results before they rise. 16. Cologne Centurions Previous Ranking: 16 Cologne stay at the bottom. The QB situation remains unclear, and the defense has struggled all season. They'll need big changes to escape the basement. The Berlin Thunder have taken another hit following their Week 3 loss to the Nordic Storm. Running back Gennadiy Adams, who was injured in Week 2 against the Munich Ravens, has now officially been placed on Injured Reserve (IR)and will be out for at least the next three games. Strong start to the season Adams made a strong impression early in the season. In Berlin’s Week 1 victory over the Cologne Centurions, he rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, and added 33 receiving yards and another touchdown on two catches. His ability to contribute in both the run and passing game made him a key part of the Thunder’s offense. With Adams sidelined, the Thunder must now adjust their offensive strategy as they head into a tough Week 4 matchup against the Hamburg Sea Devils. New addition in the secondary To strengthen their defense, the Thunder have signed Marlon Balthasar McGeachie, a defensive back and member of the German national team. While McGeachie is playing for the German national team, he qualifies as an E-import due to starting his football career in the United Kingdom. His international experience and versatility should help reinforce Berlin’s secondary. With both roster changes in place, the Thunder will look to bounce back and regain momentum heading into Week 4. Berlin Thunder @ Nordic Storm - 0:35 The Nordic Storm continue their dream start to the 2025 season, earning their third straight win with a dominant performance against the Berlin Thunder. In their first-ever home game, the Swedish-Danish franchise gave fans plenty to cheer about with a convincing all-around victory. All three phases in control From the beginning, Nordic Storm took control in all three phases — offense, defense, and special teams. The Thunder tried to manage the clock with long drives to keep Storm’s offense off the field, and early on it worked to some degree. But the momentum shifted quickly. A blocked field goal attempt turned into a huge play when Luke Glenna returned it for a touchdown. That was the turning point, as Storm's offense found its rhythm, and their defense continued to shut down the Thunder. Berlin had to punt often, committed turnovers, and lost key players due to injuries — including star receiver Bryce Goggin and quarterback Jakeb Sullivan, who didn’t return after halftime. Backup Ferras El-Hendi couldn’t get much going either. Watch the highlights here! Storm stars step up again On the other side, the Storm showed off their offensive depth. Homegrown wide receivers Simon Føns and Jakob Green made impact plays, while A-import Brendan Beaulieu once again stood out with strong catches and chemistry with quarterback Jadrian Clark. Two weeks into the 2025 ELF season, the competition is heating up. With statement wins, surprising upsets, and a few injury setbacks, the power balance across the league is beginning to take shape. Here’s how all 16 teams stack up heading into Game Week 3. 1. Rhein Fire Previous Ranking: 2 Despite having a bye week, Rhein Fire move up one spot thanks to the Surge’s loss. They’ll return in Week 3 with a huge showdown against the Vikings — a rematch of last season’s Championship Game. 2. Vienna Vikings Previous Ranking: 3 The Vikings took care of business against the Enthroners. With two wins inside their division, they now prepare for their toughest challenge yet: Rhein Fire. They’ll be looking for revenge. 3. Paris Musketeers Previous Ranking: 5 Paris showed just how strong their defense can be, shutting out the high-powered Surge offense. Now it’s time for the offense to prove itself too. 4. Stuttgart Surge Previous Ranking: 1 After an impressive Week 1, the Surge fall to fourth following a disappointing performance on offense. Their defense still looked elite, but now the offense must bounce back. 5. Nordic Storm Previous Ranking: 4 Even with a strong win over Wroclaw, Nordic Storm drop one spot due to Paris' big result. Still, they remain one of the top teams in the league. A win against Berlin Thunder in Week 3 could reinforce that. 6. Munich Ravens Previous Ranking: 8 Rookie QB Russell Tabor proved the doubters wrong with a stellar outing in the win over Berlin. The Ravens head into their bye week with strong momentum. 7. Frankfurt Galaxy Previous Ranking: 9 Galaxy dominated on the ground against the Bravos and scored a big win in a shootout. If they can beat the Musketeers in Week 3, they’ll continue to climb. 8. Madrid Bravos Previous Ranking: 7 Madrid drop one spot after losing to Frankfurt. While the offense showed potential, defensive struggles and too many penalties cost them. 9. Wroclaw Panthers Previous Ranking: 6 The Panthers looked good in stretches, but couldn’t keep up with the Storm for four full quarters. For now, they land in the middle of the pack. 10. Raiders Tirol Previous Ranking: 10 The Raiders earned a dominant win over the Mercenaries, but lost their starting QB Conor Miller to injury. His health will be key going forward. 11. Hamburg Sea Devils Previous Ranking: 11 Hamburg picked up their first win of the season behind a strong running game and tough defense. With new QB Taulia Tagovailoa set to debut in Week 3, they could move up quickly if they perform well. 12. Berlin Thunder Previous Ranking: 12 Berlin struggled against the Ravens and lost RB Gennadiy Adams to injury. They’ll need a bounce-back performance in Week 3 against the Nordic Storm. 13. Prague Lions Previous Ranking: 13 Discipline issues and penalties hurt Prague again in their loss to Hamburg. The potential is there, but they need to clean things up — starting in Week 3 vs. the Enthroners. 14. Helvetic Mercenaries Previous Ranking: 14 The Mercenaries were outmatched against the Raiders and struggled on both sides of the ball. They’ll need a major improvement to avoid falling further behind. 15. Fehérvár Enthroners Previous Ranking: 15 Another tough loss for the Enthroners, who haven’t shown much improvement yet. With QB Brock Domann now on IR, homegrown Máté Hegedüs will get his shot under center in Week 3. 16. Cologne Centurions Previous Ranking: 16 Still at the bottom, the Centurions had a bye week and now prepare to face the Raiders in Week 3. Time to prove what they’ve learned. As Game Week 3 approaches, expect more big matchups, potential shake-ups, and players looking to make their mark. Berlin Thunder @ Munich Ravens – 16:38 The Munich Ravens earned an important win over the Berlin Thunder, improving to 2–0 and taking control in the South Division. The Ravens started fast, scoring 20 unanswered points in the first quarter. Quarterback Russell Tabor had a strong performance, throwing five total touchdowns and just one interception. His connection with star wide receiver Malik Stanley was on full display, including three touchdown catches. Tabor also showed off his dual-threat ability by adding yards on the ground. On defense, the Ravens kept the Thunder one-dimensional, allowing only 31 rushing yards. An injury to Thunder running back Gennadiy Adams made things worse for Berlin’s ground game. Quarterback Jakeb Sullivan passed for 342 yards and 2 touchdowns, but also threw three interceptions — a key difference in the game. Wide receiver Bryce Goggin was once again a bright spot for the Thunder, catching 6 passes for 110 yards, but it wasn’t enough. Berlin also struggled on third down, converting just 3 of 10 attempts. Defensively, they had no answer for Munich’s 196 rushing yards, which helped the Ravens control the clock and the game. Next up, Berlin Thunder will face the Nordic Storm in Week 3 — their first divisional matchup in the North Division, and an important test for both teams. The Ravens, now at 2–0, get to rest during their first bye week. They’ll be watching closely as their next opponent, the Stuttgart Surge, plays in Week 3. Watch the highlights here! Helvetic Mercenaries @ Raiders Tirol – 6:44 The Raiders Tirol are back in the win column with a dominant 44–6 victory over the Helvetic Mercenaries. Things didn’t start well, though — starting quarterback Conor Miller went down with an injury on the first drive. Wide receiver Adrian Platzgummer had to step in at quarterback. Despite this challenge, the Raiders leaned into their biggest strength: the run game. Running back Tobias Bonatti was outstanding, rushing for 185 yards and 3 touchdowns. His 88-yard and 50-yard touchdown runs showed just how dangerous he can be in open space. The Raiders defense also stepped up, creating pressure and forcing a key interception. They kept the Mercenaries from ever getting into rhythm. The Mercenaries struggled on both sides of the ball. They had no answer for the Raiders’ rushing attack and couldn’t find consistency in the passing game. Quarterback Isaiah Weed and his receivers had communication issues, with dropped passes and missed opportunities. The team only converted 5 of 15 third downs and managed just one sack on defense. The Mercenaries, now 0–2, face another tough challenge in Week 3 against the Madrid Bravos, who are looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Frankfurt. With high expectations after big roster changes, 0–2 is not the start they hoped for. The Raiders, now 1–1, travel to face the Cologne Centurions in Week 3. After Cologne’s heavy loss in Week 1, they’ll be motivated — and for the Raiders, it’s a great chance to build momentum and continue moving in the right direction early in the season. After an exciting start to the 2025 ELF season in Week 1, Sunday brings us another round of important and exciting matchups. Let’s take a look at the key storylines for Sunday’s action. Nordic Storm at Wroclaw Panthers (13:00 CET) Battle of the unbeatens Both the Nordic Storm and the Wroclaw Panthers started their seasons with big wins. Now, they face each other in what could be one of the most important early-season matchups. Both teams have playoff ambitions — but spots are limited. This game could show who truly belongs among the league’s elite. Stuttgart Surge at Paris Musketeers (13:00 CET) Early pressure for Paris, big goals for Stuttgart This matchup features two strong teams with high expectations. The Paris Musketeers lost a close game to Rhein Fire in Week 1 and now face a must-win situation if they want to stay on track for another deep playoff run. The Stuttgart Surge are dreaming of a Championship Game in their home city and will push hard to stay unbeaten. Expect a high-level football battle. Watch all ELF games live on DAZN! Helvetic Mercenaries at Raiders Tirol (16:25 CET) First win on the line Both the Mercenaries and the Raiders Tirol are still looking for their first win of the season. The Mercenaries, led by dual-threat QB Isaiah Weed, struggled on defense in Week 1 and want to bounce back. The Raiders showed strong defensive play against Munich but couldn’t convert their chances on offense. This game could help one of these teams get back on track. Berlin Thunder at Munich Ravens (16:25 CET) High-powered offense vs. Lockdown defense The Berlin Thunder started their season with a dominant win over the Cologne Centurions, showing strength in all three phases of the game. The Munich Ravens also began with a victory — less flashy, but very controlled, especially on defense. Now, Berlin’s explosive offense will face Munich’s tough defensive unit in one of Sunday’s most exciting matchups. The first weekend of action in the ELF season is over and we as fans…and fantasy managers finally got our first look at the teams and star players in action across the league.  Football is a game of matchups so let's see what players you might want to add or drop to your lineup this week.  This year Fantasy Manager features weekly prizes, yearly prizes, and a lot of rewards for the best and even the luckiest managers out there.  Read more about the ELF Fantasy manager prizes here! Start’Em QB Ben Holmes - Vienna Vikings (3,900 GC) The Vikings got a road victory last week in Prague, but it wasn’t the most beautiful win. Penalties, dropped passes, and more held back the Vikings' typically explosive offense. This week as they prepare to take on the Rhein FIre in Week 3, look for Holmes and the Vikings offense to click against a weak Enthroners team.  WR - Keelan Cole - Helvetic Mercenaries (2,500 GC) The Mercenaires and Cole travel to Tirol this week to take on the Raiders. The ex-NFL pass catcher should be in line for a breakout game as the Swiss squad will be airing it out in what should be a competitive game between these two squads. Expect Weed to target Cole even more this week as they try and get the NFL talent going.  RB Anton Witmuer - Nordic Storm (900 GC) Witmuer is a value play at only 900 GC. With MVP running back Glen Toonga out for the season, look for Witmuer to take the Lion's share of the carries behind a stacked offensive line. Witmuer is no inexperienced rookie, having put several successful seasons together running the ball with a nice blend of speed and power in the Danish league.    Sit’Em Tomiwa Oyewo - RB - Stuttgart Surge (3,000 GC)  I know what you’re thinking.. Oyewo is a stud and looked great last week. Well, watching Paris’s defense I am hesitant to take any of their offensive  opponents at this time. The Musketeers have star players at all three levels of the defense and maybe the best team speed in the secondary in the league.  QB Jakeb Sullivan - Berlin Thunder (3,100 GC) What goes up, must come down. Even after an absurd seven touchdown performance last week, I don’t see Sullivan having the same success against the Munich Ravens. Munich is a different team then Cologne and have a lot of experience and talent in the secondary that should make things tough on the veteran QB.  QB Reid Sinnett - Madrid Bravos (3,800 GC) The former NFL passer entered the ELF with a lot of hype. After one week and mustering only 13 points on offense, the jury is still out. This week things get tougher for Sinnett facing off against a Frankfurt defense that should be eager to play better following a tough loss to the Surge.  Watch all the games on DAZN!

Week 1 of the 2025 European League of Football season is done — and what a start it was! We saw dominant wins, close battles, and some surprising performances. It’s still early in the season, and every team has many games left to play, but here’s where I rank each team going into Week 2, and why: 1. Stuttgart Surge The Surge looked strong on both sides of the ball in their win over Frankfurt Galaxy. Over 400 total offensive yards and only 240 yards allowed on defense — a complete performance. They won the battle at the line of scrimmage and showed they’re ready for another big season. Penalties remain their biggest issue. An overall strong performance showcases their talent, which is why they are also the top team in my power rankings. 2. Rhein Fire Rhein Fire came out on top in a hard-fought defensive battle against the Paris Musketeers. Their defensive line was impressive — maybe even stronger than last season’s. Offensively, not everything clicked, but new dual-threat QB Chad Jeffries adds another dimension to their game. 3. Vienna Vikings The Vikings earned a clear 28–6 win over the Prague Lions. WR Yannick Mayr adds even more depth to an already dangerous receiver group and shined on special teams, too. A solid performance overall, with room to grow. The talent on the roster is definitely worthy of a top-three ranking. Don't miss a single game - Get your Game Pass now! 4. Nordic Storm A strong debut from the new team! QB Jadrian Clark threw five touchdown passes, and the team rushed for 276 yards. The defense added four sacks and even a pick-six. Now the big question: Can they compete with the top teams? 5. Paris Musketeers Their narrow loss to Rhein Fire showed the team’s potential, especially on defense. But issues in the offensive line, including six sacks and multiple bad snaps, need to be fixed fast. The talent is clearly there. 6. Wroclaw Panthers Wroclaw impressed in all three phases of the game against the Enthroners. QB DJ Irons Jr. threw for three TDs and ran for two more. RB Dawid Brzozowski added 113 rushing yards. The defense had five sacks and a pick-six, and the return game was dangerous all day. The Munich Ravens present a true tough test for the Panthers in week 2. 7. Madrid Bravos Madrid started their ELF journey with a win over Hamburg, but the offense still needs time to find its rhythm. QB Reid Sinnett and his receivers are not yet in sync — but they still managed to get the W. If they can establish the running game, they could become a tough challenge for the top teams. 8. Munich Ravens Munich won a tough defensive game against the Raiders. Their run game worked well, but the passing game is a concern. Young QB Russell Tabor completed under 50% of his passes and threw two interceptions. Still, the defense showed they can compete with anyone. If Tabor shows an improved performance in Week 2, a jump into the Top 5 is definitely possible. 9. Frankfurt Galaxy Frankfurt had a tough first matchup against the Surge. They struggled to pressure the QB and couldn’t match the Surge offensively. WR Terry Wright didn’t make much impact in the passing game but showed his speed on special teams. In the game against the Madrid Bravos, they need to prove themselves and show that they can compete with the top teams. Get your tickets for the 2025 Championship Game in Stuttgart! 10. Raiders Tirol The Raiders were limited to just 58 rushing yards — surprising for one of the best RB groups in the league. QB Conor Miller had an average game with only 21 completions on 38 attempts. Their defense was solid, but the offense must improve. In the game against the Mercenaries, the Raiders need to make a strong statement and show that they are a playoff team. 11. Hamburg Sea Devils Hamburg gave Madrid a good fight and surprised many with their strong defense. RBs Chrisman Kyei and Lucas Candido looked solid. However, penalties and special teams mistakes — including just 2 of 5 field goals made — hurt their chances. 12. Berlin Thunder A huge win for Berlin with seven passing touchdowns from QB Jakeb Sullivan and over 570 total yards. But it’s important to stay grounded — their Week 2 matchup against the strong Ravens defense will be the real test. 13. Prague Lions Prague kept things close with Vienna in the first half and showed improvement from last season. Their passing game struggled, and they only converted 2 of 13 third downs. Still, there’s potential in this team what they can prove against the Sea Devils in Week 2. 14. Helvetic Mercenaries The Mercenaries lost 12–56 to Nordic Storm but had some good moments, especially from QB Isaiah Weed, who had a 69-yard rushing touchdown. More consistency is needed, and their Week 2 matchup against the Raiders won’t be easy. 15. Fehérvár Enthroners A tough loss against Wroclaw. The special teams gave up too many big returns, and the offensive line allowed five sacks. Things need to change fast, with the Vienna Vikings up next. 16. Cologne Centurions Cologne had a rough start against Berlin, allowing nine touchdowns. The young team showed flashes, especially with a 92-yard TD pass from QB Jan Leuker to Austin Osborne. Their upcoming bye week comes at a perfect time to regroup. The season is just beginning, and things can change quickly. Let’s see who rises and who falls in next week’s power ranking! What a amazing week one of the 2025 ELF football season. Whether it was nail-bitting finishes, highlight plays, or of course the league's passionate fans that make the gameday so specail. It was great to see ELF football back in full swing.On the Fantasy side of things we were able to record the top scorers from a fantasy perfective for week one. Due to the transition to StatsPerform, team points will only be awarded starting from Week 2. That said, team stats for Week 1 will be added by today, and once they’re in, we’ll announce the winner of the first weekly prize. Some features that were originally planned for Week 1 — like adding friends and live player stats — had to be postponed due to the StatsPerform integration. With week one in the books let's take a look at what woul've been the perfect line up for our opening weekend slate. Quarterback: Jakeb Sullivan, Berlin Thunder (47.02 Points) The veteran threw only two incomplete passes on the day as he led the Thunder to a easy victory. Sullivan finished the game with a league best 413 passing yards and a impressive seven touchdowns. RB1: Glen Toonga, Nordic Storm (24.50 Points) The reigning MVP picked up where he left off last season with 114 yards on only 12 carries. Toonga also scored the first touchdown in the history of the Nordic Storm before leaving the game with an injury. In the passing game, he addd three catches for 41 yards. RB2: Gennadiy Adams, Berlin Thunder (23.90 Points) Adam's ran for 66 yards on only 11 carries reaching the endzone once. He also added a receiving touchdown on two catches for 33 yards. WR1: Bryce Goggin, Berlin Thunder (41.60 Points) Goggin introduced himself to the ELF with a monster performance catching 7 passes for 166 yards and two scores. Goggin created several huge plays and seems to be the go-to guy for Sullivna moving forward in Berlin.  WR2: Brendan Beaulieu, Nordic Storm (32.90 Points) In Beaulieu's first ELF game he caught 9 passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns as he helped the Nordic Storm roll to a big road victory in thier team's first ever game. TE: Adria Botello Moreno, Nordic Storm (18.50 Points) Another member of the Storm on this list is veteran Botello Moreno. The Spanish veteran scored two touchdowns on only 4 catches finishing the game with only 25 yards, but two touchdowns.  Flex: Auston Osborne, Cologne Centurions (30.90 Points) The former Bowling Green standout was maybe the only silver lining for Cologne in this game. The ex-D1 pass catcher hauled in 8 passes for 169 yards and a score of 92 yards in his first ELF game.  Kicker: Mathy's Dupoint, Paris Musketeers & Timo Bronn, Stuttgart Surge (9 Points) Both kickers looked great in week one hitting field goals in key spots for thier team. Dupont hit three short field goals vs the Rhein Fire while Bronn hit two field goals and 3 extra points in his return to the Surge.  Defense/Special teams: Wroclaw Panthers (30 Points) The Panthers held the Enthroners too only 12 points in a resounding week one win. Panthers defensive back Devan Burrell scored twice once on a kick return and again on a interception return for maybe the play off the week. Wroclaw finished the game with 5 sacks, dominating the Enthroners up front. Watch all the games on DAZN!

The season has started, the first matchday is over. Some teams have started with a defeat, others with a win. How do the results affect the winning in season opening games? Note: Since not all teams have been part of the European League of Football since 2021, not every team has played the same number of opening games. Therefore, the sorting is based on the percentage of success.  Some fans must be very strong now. Four franchises have not been able to win any of their season-opening games yet. Berlin Thunder (2021: L, 2022: L, 2023: W, 2024: L, 2025: W) The narrow and tough 12-13 defeat against the Madrid Bravos caused the Hamburg Sea Devils to slip from 75 to 60 percent. Hamburg Sea Devils (2021: W, 2022: W, 2023: L, 2024: W, 2025: L) Not the start to the season the Raiders had hoped for. After the loss to the Munich Ravens, they were only able to win half of their season opening games. Raiders Tirol  (2022: L, 2023: W, 2024: W, 2025: L) We have made it past the halfway mark. For the first time, the Musketeers were unable to win their first game of the season. They were only two points away from a win against champions Rhein Fire. Paris Musketeers (2023: W, 2024: W, 2025: L) We are getting closer to perfection. Nevertheless, there have been defeats. But in this year, Stuttgart Surge won their Opening Game against Frankfurt Galaxy. Stuttgart Surge (2021: W, 2022: L, 2023: W, 2024: W, 2025 W)   Let's move on to the elite. Fans of these five teams were also able to see an opening game victory in this year. Season five of the European League of Football is finally here! Saturday already showed exciting matches and many highlights. Sunday also remained exciting. A look at the early games. Watch all plays live with the ELF Game Pass on DAZN! Raiders Tirol @ Munich Ravens: 7:20 The Raiders Tirol wanted revenge after losing to the Munich Ravens in Week 14 of last season. That loss ended their playoff hopes. But this time, they lost again. The Munich Ravens won the first game of the 2025 season in a hard-fought defensive game. Strong Tabor and defense Young quarterback Russell Tabor played his first ELF game for the Ravens — and won. He had some problems in the passing game, with less than 50% of his passes completed and 2 interceptions. But when it mattered most, he made big plays. He scored one touchdown with a run and threw for two more. Both defenses played very well. They made life hard for the quarterbacks. The Ravens’ defense stopped Raiders QB Connor Miller and also controlled the strong running game of Tirol. The Raiders had more time with the ball but only managed 269 total yards. Ravens offense more dangerous Even though it was a tough game, the Ravens were more productive. They had over 400 total offensive yards. Key players like Justin Rodney and Malik Stanley made big plays to help the Ravens win this important interdivisional game. Next game: Big challenge vs. Berlin Thunder In Week 2, the Ravens will face another tough opponent: the Berlin Thunder. Berlin started the season strong with a big win over the Cologne Centurions. Cologne Centurions @ Berlin Thunder: 14:63 Berlin Thunder make an impressive start to the new season against the Cologne Centurions. A special victory, especially for Head Coach Jag Ball, who was still coaching the Centurions on the sidelines in 2024. With a good game plan, the experienced coach gave his opposite number, Javan Lenhardt, no chance. A strong Jakeb Sullivan played a key role in this. The 2024 ELF passing leader picked up right where he left off last season. The A-import scored 44 yards with his very first pass and broke the 100 passing yards mark already before the end of the first quarter. The 30-year-old completed 22 of his 24 passes and scored a total of 413 passing yards and seven touchdowns. Watch the Centurions at Thunder highlights here! On the other side, the game came too early for new Centurions quarterback Keegan Mccormack-Reamer. He was replaced by Homegrowns QB Jan Leuker, who had to fight against a strong Thunder defense. His highlight: a long pass to wide receiver Austine Osborne for 92 yards and a touchdown. Good news for the Centurions: The team already has a bye week next week and can, after the eventful days shortly before the start of the season, further deepen the game plan and integrate their new quarterback. Former MVP quarterback Jadrian Clark and running back Glen Toonga will make their highly anticipated debuts for the expansion Nordic Storm this Sunday. Fans already have high expectations for the Storm without even seeming them play yet. The Thunder go into season five with new uniforms and new head coach Jag Bal at the Helm. Veteran quarterback Jakeb Sullivan is joined by his former teammate Gennadiy Adams and 2024 All star William Lydle. The Capital city squad is eager to prove the doubters wrong and shake things up in the North division.    Raiders Tirol at Munich Raven - 13:00 CET The ELF's best new rivalry?Today's match up between these two teams marks the latest chapter in whats been a epic rivalry between Munich and Tirol. Only a few hours apart these two squads know each other well. Last year the Ravens ended the Raiders playoff hopes defeating them in the final week of the regular season, starting a long off-season in Tirol. Expect this to be a fiesty game between two squads that don't like each other.  Vienna Vikings at Prague Lions - 16:25 CET Running it back in Vienna The Vikings nearly pulled off a perfect season in 2024 before loosing the championship game to the Rhein Fire. This year they return the core of their squad and have added some intriguing new pieces. For Prague new head coach Dave Warner has brought in a influx of talent as the Czech team looks to be much improved from last season.   Frankfurt Galaxy at Stuttgart Surge - 16:25 CET Are the Surge a team of destiny? The Stuttgart Surge enter the season with a remarkable opportunity in front of them, to secure a home game in the ELF championship in September. They return much of the 2024 squad and have also added new stars to a strong Nucleus. The time has finally come! The fifth season of the European League of Football is about to start. The time has finally come! Players, managers, and fans of Nordic Storm are certainly thinking the same thing. For the young franchise from Copenhagen, Denmark, May 18th, 2025 will be a very special day.  That's when Storm will not only play their first game in the European League of Football, but also their first game in franchise history. The team managers built an entire organization from scratch this offseason. The first success could be celebrated against the Helvetic Mercenaries.  However, a new ELF team was not always immediately successful in its first game in the European League of Football. We take a look at the first ELF games in the history of the current teams.  The Ferhévár Enthroners did not get off to a particularly good start. They opened the season with a clear 3:36 defeat at home against Berlin Thunder in 2023. The Wroclaw Panthers are the champions in season opening games. They haven't lost one yet, and accordingly won the first ELF game in franchise history. At home, the Panthers beat the Cologne Centurions 2021 in a spectacular game with 55:39.  The Prague Lions, on the other hand, suffered a defeat. They played their first ELF game at home in 2023. They lost 15:18 against the Leipzig Kings, who are no longer part of the ELF.  The last team in the East Division, however, was successful again. In 2022, the Vienna Vikings played away against the Raiders Tirol and won 29:23.     Berlin Thunder have been part of the ELF since 2021. They lost their first game at home 27:37 against the Leipzig Kings.  The Hamburg Sea Devils also started 2021, but they did a better job. In Hamburg, the Sea Devils beat Frankfurt Galaxy 17:15.  The current ELF champions Rhein Fire also won. In 2022, they also played their first game against Frankfurt Galaxy. Fire won 29:26 on the road.  The Helvetic Mercenaries lost their first game under their new name in 2024. The Barcelona Dragons won 23:19 in Switzerland. Madrid Bravos also competed in the ELF for the first time in 2024. The team from Spain won the Classico against the Barcelona Dragons by a clear 42:12.      The Munich Ravens, meanwhile, suffered a defeat at the start. They lost 38:59 at home against the Raiders Tirol in 2023. The Austrians were also unable to win their first game in 2022. The Raiders Tirol lost against the Vienna Vikings with 23:29. It was the only season opening game so far that was not won.  The Cologne Centurions have been part of the European League of Football since 2021. They lost their first game against the Wroclaw Panthers by a clear 39:55. Just like Frankfurt Galaxy. Only they didn't lose to the Panthers, but to the Sea Devils, and by a much narrower margin of 15:17. The Paris Musketeers have delighted their fans in two years in the ELF. This was also the case in the first franchise game in 2023, which they won 24:17 against the Cologne Centurions.  Stuttgart Surge were also successful in their first game, but in 2021. The Berlin Thunder have signed American defensive lineman William Lydle. Lydle was one of the ELF’s top interior defensive lineman last season for the Cologne Centurions. Now he returns to the ELF this time joining the Berlin Thunder.  In 12 games, he recorded 60 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss, and forced 3 fumbles. Lydle was named a second team all-star for his 2024 performance. He was also voted the #6 of the ELF’s Top 100 Players for 2024.  Lydle hopes to give the Thunder’s defense a boost as they head into week one against Lydle’s former team the Cologne Centurions. One of the more interesting divisions in the ELF this upcoming season is the North Division, consisting of the Rhein Fire, Nordic Storm, Hamburg Sea Devils, and Berlin Thunder.  Let’s take a look at some of the top storylines from these four franchises. Could we see a Rhein Fire three-peat? A three-peat is no easy feat. Just ask the 2025 Kansas City Chiefs. The Rhein Fire have an opportunity to make history and claim a third straight title under head coach Jim Tomsula. However, the team has undergone major changes as star quarterback and running back Jadrian Clark and GLen Toonga have left the squad.  New quarterback Chad Jeffries hopes to help the Rhein Fire keep the championship standard burning this season. A fierce Nordic Storm brewing? The Nordic Storm enter the 2025 ELF season as the league’s only brand new franchise. The team consists of several ELF veterans and a talented list of hometowns from both Sweden and Denmark. The Storm made the biggest splash of the off-season, signing former MVPs and Rhein Fire stars in QB Jadrian Clark and RB Glen Toonga. The two will face off against their former team twice in divisional play.  The experience and star power of the team will have to carry the rest of the squad which will be new to the higher level of ELF football. Head coach John Schoop leads the league’s most intriguing team into 2025 with high expectations.    Berlin’s new look The Thunder entered the 2025 with new head coach Jag Bal, new uniforms, and several new players added to the roster. The Capital city team will be led by ELF veteran QB Jakeb Sullivan and running back Gennadiy Adams. They also recently signed All-Star defensive tackle William Lydle. Let’s see how much noise the Thunder can make in 2025. Hamburg Sea Devils - A new Era Recently Lee Rowland takes over as the head coach in Hamburg. Fatah was able to show off his recruiting talents and convince DPOY Kyle Kitchens to come to Hamburg this off-season, along with ELF veteran WR Terryon Robinson.  One question that remains is at the quarterback position where “rookie” Micah Leon will take over for the Sea Devils after spending his final college years at the University of Florida.  Get Your Tickets to the 2025 ELF Championship Game!

The Berlin Thunder have made a splash signing prior to the start of the ELF season, bringing in veteran and ELF champion running back Gennadiy Adams.  A proven resume Adams played last season with the Wroclaw Panthers putting up 345 yards rushing and 324 yards receiving with 8 total  touchdowns. Before playing in Poland last season, Adams spent two seasons with the Frankfurt Galaxy in 2021 and 2022 helping them win the league’s inaugural title.  Adam’s had a clutch 43 yard touchdown run in the 2021 ELF championship game helping the Galaxy win the game. Now he reunites with former Galaxy quarterback Jakeb Sullivan in Berlin.  The Russian born running back has a long history as an impact player in Europe beginning in 2019 and playing for the Potsdam Royals in German Football League. There he amassed 1,246 yards and 15 touchdowns on 250 carries. Adams also played for the Royals in 2023 rushing for 797 yards and 11 touchdowns as the Royals won the German Bowl.  College experience Before coming to Europe, he attended Benmidji State University (Minnesota) (NCAA Div. II) for the last two years of his college career, recording 1,246 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns while catching 20 passes for 271 yards and another four touchdowns. He was also a two-year member of the Simon Fraser University football team in Burnaby, B.C., Canada in 2013 and 2014 where he averaged 6.3 yards per carry in 10 games in 2014. As part of our preview series for all 16 teams in the European League of Football heading into the 2025 season, we turn our spotlight to Berlin Thunder. After years of building a competitive foundation, Berlin enters 2025 with a mix of seasoned American imports, elite European additions, and standout homegrown talent — all under the leadership of an experienced coaching staff ready to guide the franchise into championship contention. American Imports – Jakeb Sullivan returns as a top-tier QB Quarterback Jakeb Sullivan remains the centerpiece of the Thunder offense. After successful stints with Frankfurt Galaxy, including a championship in 2021, and a solid 2024 season in Berlin, Sullivan returns as one of the most experienced and efficient quarterbacks in the ELF. Known for his accurate passing and strong football IQ, Sullivan’s leadership is expected to be crucial for Berlin’s postseason aspirations in 2025. On the defensive side, American defensive tackle William Lydle has joined the team from the Cologne Centurions over the offseason. His physicality and strength make him a key enforcer in Berlin’s defensive line unit. Homegrown Heroes – Ferras El-Hendi and Emil Fuchs lead the charge Quarterback Ferras El-Hendi, a German native with ELF experience at the Leipzig Kings, returns as the reliable backup to Sullivan and continues to develop within the system. Wide receiver Niklas Schumm, another homegrown standout, brings speed and route-running precision to the offense, making him a dependable target in the passing game. Defensively, young talents like defensive end Aaron Große Kleinmann and cornerback Jonas Gacek are part of a growing wave of Berlin-developed talent. These players add valuable depth and contribute significantly on special teams and rotational packages. European Imports – RB Adams leads the running game Berlin has added a number of elite European players to its 2025 roster. In the backfield, running back Gennadiy Adams brings explosiveness and versatility. With previous ELF experience at both Frankfurt Galaxy and the Wrocław Panthers, Adams is expected to be a dual-threat contributor in the run- and in the passing-game.  Offensively, British offensive lineman Connor Bolton provides size and strength in the trenches. His protection will be critical to giving Sullivan time to operate in the pocket and drive the vertical passing game. Also joining from European ranks is Italian defensive back Felix Proulx, another player with excellent ball skills and athleticism to bolster the secondary. Coaching Staff – Jag Bal brings leadership and vision The 2025 season marks a new chapter for Berlin Thunder under the leadership of head coach Jag Bal. Known for his strong leadership, player development focus, and international coaching experience in the European League of Football, Bal steps in to guide a talented Berlin roster with championship potential. The former Thunder head coach back in 2021 returns for his second tenure with the team. Playoff Prospects – Ready to challenge the ELF Berlin Thunder comes into 2025 with a mature roster, a returning star quarterback, and a coaching staff that has built a well-defined identity.
