The last week in the European League of Football was full of breaking news and headlines. Some teams re-signed important players; others signed athletes from rivalry teams who will possibly have an immediate impact at the start of the upcoming season.

Let’s have a look at all the latest news.

The Vikings announced the signing of defensive lineman Florian Sudi and tight end Rudi-Lee Frey to their team for the 2022 season. On top of that, the Vikings officially signed Italian standout wide receiver Jordan Bouah to their roster.

The Stuttgart Surge broke the news of current NFL player Jakob Johnson joining the franchise as a co-owner. The franchise in southern Germany also announced the re-signing of German defensive back Nick Wenzelburger and the signing of former Galaxy wide receiver Noah Bomba to their 2022 roster.

Over the last seven days, Rhine Fire announced the signing of NFL International Combine attendee and tight end Silvan Barelds, punter Maximilian Eisenhut, defensive lineman Jason Chikere, and former Cologne Centurions defensive back Jannik Seibel.

The German franchise also announced that they will hold their first official training of their first season in the European League of Football on Monday. However, the franchise communicated that it will be a closed practiced because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kings announced a blockbuster signing this week when they revealed former Barcelona Dragons defensive lineman Myke Tavarres will join the team. On top of that, the Saxon-based franchise signed German tight end Philip Eichhorn and re-signed defensive lineman Christopher Hans.

The Hamburg Sea Devils had one of the busiest weeks next to the reigning European League of Football champion. The German franchise hired new head coach Charles Jones for the 2022 season.

In addition, the Sea Devils found their Andersen-successor in kicker Eric Schlomm. They also signed former Division I offensive lineman Dominik Behrens, re-signed German defensive back Alexandr Astahin and linebacker Matthias Spiegel for the 2022 season.

The Frankfurt Galaxy announced the signing of three 2021 All-Star players over the past seven days. On Monday, the reigning champion re-signed European League of Football All-Star linebacker Sebastian Gauthier. Then, the franchise re-signed German NFL International Combine attendee and European League of Football All-Star offensive tackle Yannic Kiehl. On Friday, the Galaxy announced the signing of 2021 tackle leader and European League of Football All-Star linebacker Wael Nasri for the 2022 season. This roll of signings is a promising start for the reigning champions! 

The Centurions singed German fullback and long snapper Denis Dauben to their roster for the upcoming season.

The Berlin Thunder signed Turkish offensive lineman Alper Peközer to their roster. The German franchise also announced the hiring of defensive backs coach Simon Bohlmann.

The Barcelona Dragons re-signed Spanish linebacker Sebastián Castañer and signed French offensive lineman Jean-Marc Ciocan.

The Spanish franchise also announced that 154 players registered for their 2022 combine scheduled on February 20th.
