After signing former Frankfurt Galaxy defensive back Benjamin Barnes to their roster, the Surge land another reigning European League of Football champion!

The Stuttgart Surge sign former Frankfurt Galaxy wide receiver Noah Bomba to their roster for the 2022 season, as the franchise reported.

“I’ve personally known [head] coach [Martin] Hanselmann for a long time. He was a great mentor for me in my youth. And after great conversations with him and our new wide receiver coach, I was excited about the plan that the Surge has in place”, Bomba commented on his decision on signing with his new team, according to the team’s press release.

After starting his football career in 2016, Bomba planned on playing college football in 2019 which did not come to fruition because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, he landed with the Frankfurt Galaxy in 2021 and was part of the first European League of Football championship team.

Now, Bomba signed with Galaxy’s division rival; the Stuttgart Surge. Despite strong competition, he promised head coach Hanselmann a championship, according to the Surge press release: “I promised [head] coach Hanselmann. We are going to win the championship together”. He added: “we are in the so-called ‘death-division’. Everyone is counting us out. But I know that our team will give everything to prove the league wrong”.
