Top Signings of the Week - old friends and new ideas
The teams continued to work on their squads for the upcoming ELF season. As always, we summarize the most important deals of the week for you.
Big change at the Helvetic Mercenaries. Bryan Billy is no longer head coach of the Swiss team. Marcus Herford, who most recently coached the Hildesheim Invaders in the GFL, is taking over. Herford is returning to the ELF, where he already coached the Berlin Thunder in 2021
From US college to the ELF? This is the path Demarcus "DJ" Irons is taking. The dual-threat will play for the Wroclaw Panthers in the future In his home country, he played at Iowa Central Community College and the University of Akron.
The Madrid Bravos also extended the contracts of three stars of their team. Firstly, the Carrasco brothers are staying. Linebacker Javier and O-lineman Carlos will also be with the Black Demons next season
Running back Eduard Molina, who together with colleague D'wayne Obi forms one of the best running duos in the league, also stays in Madrid.
The Hamburg Sea Devils trust their personnel and keep two deserving players. The first is kicker and team captain Eric Schlomm. The 32-year-old has already played for the team for three years.
Tight end John Levi Kruse has already spent four years in a Sea Devils jersey. The 27-year-old has experienced every ELF season and a lot of ups and downs. Now he stays for another year.
Linebacker star and captain Luis Horvath has ended his career. In order to continue to be optimally staffed at this position, the Vikings have agreed to a three-year extension with defensive star Noel Swancar. The young Homegrown has impressively earned his place in the team and is already one of the most important players in the Vikings defense.
