The Madrid Bravos bring back Carrasco brothers

Spanish brothers Javier and Carlos Carrasco are pillars of the Madrid football community having played for the Black Demons for several seasons in the Spanish capital. Now they will officially remain with Madrid's ELF team for at least the 2025 season signing contract extensions with the Bravos.

Like many talented players from Madrid, the Carrasco brothers joined the Bravos as they defied expectations making the postseason in their first ever season. One of the highlights of the ELF season was when the new squad handed the eventual champion Rhein Fire their only loss in two seasons. +

The 29-year Javier Carrasco made 23 tackles and caught two passes in only five games for the Bravos last season. The versatile athlete has great experience playing either side of the ball and can be a weapon for the 2025 Bravos team in all three phases of the game.

Javier’s younger brother Carlos Carrasco was part of a Bravos offensive line that finished the season 3rd in rushing yards and 5th in scoring. He brings experience from the US, Germany, Finland and of course the ELF having played last year with the Bravos and the Cologne Centurions the season prior.

Under the new leadership of head coach Andrew Weidinger the Bravos have already secured the return to two key homegrown players. Bravos fans will be excited to see what the next few weeks of the off-season entail for a team looking to make another leap forward in year 2.
