Division Details East - Improvement and new Playmaker
The divisions for the 2025 ELF season have been announced. There will be a few changes. Next season, the 16 teams will be divided into four divisions - North, South, East and West.
Let's take a look at the East Division.
Last season was disappointing for both the Lions and the Enthroners. The Lions finished last in their division with a record of 1-11, while the Enthroners finished second to last with a record of 2-10.
Both teams have not been sitting still during the offseason to ensure that things improve significantly next season. Both presented their fans old and new faces. Examples?
The Lions not only rebuilt their coaching staff, but also presented two A-imports in Ja'len Embry and Ken Hike Jr. for their backfield, which was in need of improvement.
The Enthroners also added improvement to their backfield and signed the ELF all-time interception leader Goran Zec. The Hungarian team also extended their contract with bright spot Nándor Tóth.
The Wroclaw Panthers will have a new quarterback next season. The Polish team has signed Demarcus “DJ” Irons. The US import showed a lot of talent at the University of Akron.
Irons is strong both through the air and on the ground. Accordingly, the coaching staff is sticking to a dual-threat play style. Irons must show that he is not just a promise, but can improve the Panthers' offense.
The Vikings have not lost during the regular season for two seasons now. Their only defeats came in the playoffs. Last season, they were beaten by Rhein Fire in the Championship Game.
The Vikings are therefore likely to go into the new season with plenty of motivation. They were already crowned ELF champions in 2022 - and are set to repeat this success in 2025. With or without a loss during the regular season.
