Frankfurt Galaxy re-sign receiver duo
Frankfurt Galaxy have made two important decisions for their receiver group. With Paul Kavadia-Lenhardt and Normen Schumm, they extend the contracts of two wide receivers.
Schumm has been named a starter for Galaxy last season. The 25-year-old started eleven of his twelve league games. He caught 22 passes for 308 yards and three touchdowns. The Homegrown moved from the Ingolstadt Dukes to the Galaxy in 2023. Now season three is coming.
"I'm happy to be back, to give everything for the Galaxy for the next year and to become a bigger part of the offense. Let's get a ring", Schuman says about his extention.
Kavadia-Lenhardt, meanwhile, took on more of a backup role. Nevertheless, he was allowed to start three games. In a total of ten games, he caught 20 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns. It was his first season in a Galaxy jersey. He had previously played three years for the Cologne Centurions. In his four years in the ELF, Kavadia-Lenhardt caught a total of 105 passes for 13337 yards and ten touchdowns.
"I’m happy to be back in Frankfurt for the 2025 season", says Kavadia Lenhardt. He adds: "I have a lot to prove as a player, so this year is personal for me and my team. We are built on excellence and anything else should not be accepted. We will put the work in that’s needed to hold that special trophy up at the end of the year.“
Galaxy sporting director Thomas Kösling is also excited about the two extensions: "Normen and Paul are among the most talented players in their position. We really wanted to keep both of them and are sure that they will have a big impact in the coming season."
However, Schumm and Kavadia-Lenhardt are not the only wideouts to stay with the Galaxy for another season. Earlier, it was already decided that Kevin Kaya will stay in Frankfurt for another season. Just like quarterback Matthew McKay.
