The Madrid Bravos have launched a new educational and sports initiative: the “Bravos School Tour by Lemon Tree Education.” The goal of this program is to bring American football closer to young people and promote the sport in schools across the Community of Madrid.

The project is sponsored by Lemon Tree Education and introduces students to the basics of Flag Football — a non-contact version of American football that will be included in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028. Throughout April and May, Bravos players and coaches will visit schools to run training clinics for students aged 10 to 15.

Learning from the pros

The first stop of the tour was Brains International School in Alcobendas, where students had the unique chance to learn from former NFL players Reid Sinnett and Aron Cruickshank, who are now part of the Madrid Bravos roster.

“We’ve always said we’re here to help grow this sport in Spain,” said Jaime Martín, General Manager of Madrid Bravos. “American football is growing fast in our country, and we see it every game at Vallehermoso or with the arrival of the NFL at the Bernabéu.”

Martín also emphasized the long-term goal: “Teaching the basics to young students is a great way to increase the number of licensed players in Madrid, especially working together with the Madrid Federation of American Football.”

Next stop: Colegio Brewster

The tour will continue with visits to five more schools. The next one is Colegio Brewster, located near Estadio Vallehermoso, the home field of the Madrid Bravos.

This initiative is part of the team’s commitment to sports development, inclusion, and education through values and teamwork.
