Madrid Bravos sign former NFL quarterback

The Madrid Bravos are bringing in NFL power. With Reid Sinnett, the Spanish team is introducing a new quarterback. The 27-year-old American has already been under contract with four NFL teams.

Sinnett, who was born in Iowa, began his football career at Johnston High School. He then went to the University of San Diego. Although he had offers from renowned universities such as Havard, Penn State, Yale and Kansas. He chose San Diego because of its strong academic tradition along with great football and weather, as he later revealed.

He spent his entire first year in 2015 on the bench. In his second year, he played more and more and showed good potential. It wasn't until 2019 that he took over as a starter. Sinnett played well and led his team to their sixth straight Pioneer Football League (PFL) championship.

Lots of NFL training

After graduating with a degree in finance, Sinnett entered the NFL Draft. He was not selected, but was signed as a free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that same weekend. Here he trained for example with NFL legend Tom Brady. Later, Sinnett was released and moved to the Miami Dolphins.

Sinnett went through an odyssey in which he repeatedly bounced between practice squad, free agency and back-up roles. In addition to the Buccs and Dolphins, he was also signed by the Philadelphia Eagles. After a stopover with the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL, he was called up by the Cincinnati Bengals. His last NFL team.

Although Sinnett did not play a single NFL game, he was allowed to train for a long time under NFL conditions and with and against a number of NFL stars. Something that gave him a lot of knowledge. After a stop in the UFL with the Houston Roughnecks, he now moves to Europe and the Madrid Bravos.
