After several weeks on the injured reserve list WR Anthony Mahoungou finally returned to the lineup for the Paris Musketeers last week making his presence felt scoring a touchdown in a hard fought 40-37 road victory in Berlin.

The 6'4 ELF veteran receiver has been quiet this season as injuries have, at least so far, held back his homecoming season, as the French men is playing his first season in his home country since he was a teenager. The CFL, NFL, and ex-D1 receiver has been a on and off force in the European League of Football in his career, helping the Frankfurt Galaxy win the 2021 title. Then in 2023, putting up 984 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Rhein Fire last season, en-route to his second ELF championship.

Now as the league enters the final stretch of the regular season, Mahoungou returns to a talented Paris receiver room that features star import Austin Mitchell, budding homegrown Hugo Tekedam, and veteran Remi Bertellin. Mahoungou could be the red-zone threat and physical presence needed for the Musketeers (7-2) to take the next step as they look to make a run in thier first ever playoffs.

As MVP canidate quarterback Zach Edwards contines to build chemistry with Mahoungou, the connection between the two could be the difference come September. Mahoungou's size and skill set fill a hole that the smaller Musketeers receivers simply can't. Expect the veteran to heat up and return to the red-zone scoring machine that we've seen score an eye-popping 24 career touchodwns in only career 23 games.
