Once again: Vikings dominate in "Battle of Austria"
Florian Puth

The Vienna Vikings once again prove they are the best team in Austria. For the seventh time, they have won the "Battle of Austria" against the Raiders Tirol, who must continue to wait for their first victory in the prestigious duel.
The game, which was marked by heavy rain, started promisingly for the visitors. However, the Raiders ruined their first drive with unnecessary penalties. Something, which was repeated frequently throughout the game.

The Vikings, on the other hand, started extremely aggressively at the Generali Arena in Vienna and were rewarded with an early lead after two successful fourth down attempts. They did not give up this lead anymore. At halftime, the home team was already leading 21-0.
Raiders quarterback N'Kosi Perry, who was signed just before the game, had a tough evening. A strong Vikings defense kept up the pressure, leaving the US import little space and time. In the end, Perry recorded 103 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

And as if that weren't special enough, the 24-year-old also scored an important victory over his brother Precious, who still plays for the Raiders.
Former soccer star Stefan Maierhofer, who made his ELF debut in a Vikings jersey, is also likely to be satisfied. The kicker was used for several kickoffs.
