Rhein Fire bolster offensive line with Leander Wiegand
Chris Hahn

Rhein Fire sign Leander Wiegand for the 2023 European League of Football season. With him, one of the best guards in the league joins an explosive offense. After already extending left tackle Sven Breidenbach, Nick Wiens and Arnoud Holierhoek, Wiegand provides exceptional quality for the tackle and guard position - as he showed with the Cologne Centurions last year.
Recruitment going well for Rhein Fire
While having one of the best passing attacks and equally pass protection in the league last season, the Rhein Fire lacked production in their rushing offense. Wiegand, just like Ruoss or other European League of Football athletes, train under former NFL player Chris Mohr, who already worked with the Rhein Fire at their local combine last month.

Having highly praised offensive line coach Erol Seval at Rhein Fire certainly helped in recruiting. Wiegand, despite missing some time in the season, has a great future in the European League of Football or even the US ahead of him. For the Rhein Fire, Wiegand is a homerun in recruiting.
