Prague Lions sign Czech defensive end Jan Starý

The Prague Lions have signed homegrown defensive end Jan Starý for the upcoming European League of Football season. Staring in ten games in the Austrian Football League last year, Starý had a total of seven sacks, ranking second in the league, and 23.5 tackles. At 1,93 m in height and 110 kg, the 26-year-old former CAAF Champion will hunt quarterbacks for the Prague Lions in 2023. Stary previously played for the Znojmo Knights, Vysočina Gladiators, Prague Black Panthers and Liberec Titans.

Starý joins an already strong line of homegrown talent currently coming together for the Lions. Other homegrown talents to keep an eye on are wide receivers Josef Janota and Lukas Kadlec or running back Adam Žouželka.
