Playoff picture after Week 9: Who’s in and who’s not?
Florian Puth

The playoff race in the European League of Football is tighter than ever before. Week 9 did nothing to change that. The teams fought spectacular battles, with many games only being decided in the final minutes.
But the results have an impact on the playoff picture. Which teams are one step closer to the final round and the possible 2025 Championship Game at Stuttgart's MHP Arena on September 7th? Lets take a look.

Semi-Finalists
#1 Vienna Vikings (7-1)
The Vienna Vikings narrowly won their top match against the Paris Musketeers. This means they remain on track for the playoffs with only one defeat. Direct qualification for the semifinals and the associated bye week in the wild card round is also becoming increasingly likely. The victory over the Musketeers also has a positive effect on the Vikings' strength of victory, which is why the Austrians remain the #1 seed.
#2 Munich Ravens (7-1)
Close behind are the Munich Ravens, who fulfilled their duty against the Helvetic Mercenaries. This means that the team from Bavaria also has their focus strongly set on the playoffs. In week 10, another playoff contender awaits in the form of the Raiders Tirol.

Wildcard Round
#6 Raiders Tirol at #3 Nordic Storm
If the regular season ended today, Raiders Tirol (5-3) and Nordic Storm (8-0) would still be facing each other in the Wildcard. Storm won a heated game against reigning champions Rhein Fire by one point, but still suffers from a lower strength of victory than #2 and #1. The Raiders, on the other hand, are coming off their bye week and are facing a pivotal game against the Ravens.
#5 Paris Musketeers at #4 Stuttgart Surge
The high-powered offense of Stuttgart Surge (6-2) is in full swing, securing the team a home game in the wild card round for the moment, with a clear victory over Frankfurt Galaxy. The Paris Musketeers (5-3) suffered a narrow defeat against the Vikings and slip to the #5 seed. Particularly exciting: both teams will face each other in week 10 of the regular season.

There is still a great opportunity for a number of teams that are just outside the playoff picture to make it in:
These teams are just one or two wins away from securing a playoff spot. With several weeks remaining, the battle for a place in the top six is set to become even more intense.
