Lee Rowland becomes new offensive coordinator of the Hamburg Sea Devils
More changes in the coaching staff of the Hamburg Sea Devils. Lee Rowland becomes the new Offensive Coordinator. The experienced coach will join the coaching team of Shuan Fatah, who recently took over as head coach of the Sea Devils.
Rowland is already familiar with the European League of Football. Last season he was Special Teams Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach for the Berlin Thunder. He is also very familiar with Shuan Fatah, with who he has worked for many years. Now they are meeting again at the Sea Devils.
"Taking on the role of Offensive Coordinator with the Hamburg Sea Devils is really exciting for me. After 20 years of working with Shaun Fatah, we have developed a deep understanding of each other's strengths - a winning combination. It feels like coming home after two years of not working together. I look forward to returning to Hamburg and working with the organization, the passionate fans and the team to achieve our goals for the upcoming season", comments Rowland.
After the end of his active playing career with the Croydon Coyotes, the Briton began his coaching career as offensive line coach with the Merton Admirals in 1984. From 1994 to 2000, he coached the British national team and then gained his first international experience with teams in the GFL. A significant milestone came in 2007, when he worked in NFL Europe as running back coach and special teams coordinator for the Cologne Centurions. After the end of the league, he won numerous national championships and Eurobowl titles in various positions.
The Hamburg Sea Devils can therefore look forward to a very experienced addition.
