Fehérvár Enthroners introduce Joe Ashfield as offensive coordinator
With recruiting for the Enthroners continuing on a positive note, the Hungarians now introduce their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Joe Ashfield will be the new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the Fehérvár Enthroners. The 45-year-old U.S. native previously worked for Black Hills State, Rice University and Stanford University. At Rice University, he ran the offensive line.
He came to Rice after spending five years as an offensive assistant at Stanford, where he assisted with practice coverage, play recording, statistical analysis and preparing scouting reports on opponents for the offensive staff.
Prior to joining the Cardinals in 2013, Ashfield was offensive coordinator at New Mexico Military Institute for two years and coached receivers at Loras College (Iowa) from 2008 to 2010.
In 2004, he was head coach of the New Zealand national team. With Gabriel Cunningham he has a variable quarterback at his disposal. Players such as Benjamin Plu and Jay Griffin IV are expected to provide support. The former coach of the offensive line also has players like Connor Bolton or Alper Peközer at his disposal.
