Cologne Centurions – Giving back to the community

© © Cologne Centurions / Straßenwächter e.V. The Cologne Centurions did not only score touchdowns last year but also raised money for a good cause. Up to 1.550€ were raised by selling Centurions bracelets with the wording “Zesamme Invictus” [Together Invicuts].
Yesterday, the money was forwarded to Straßenwächter e.V. The Cologne non-profit organization helps the homeless and provides them with clothes, food, and other needed goods.

“It was important for the team, including quarterback Jan Weinreich, to support the homeless in the city of Cologne,” Centurions general manager Tonye Spiff commented, via the team’s press statement.
The Centurions general manager also wanted to thank the non-profit organization for their important work in the community. “They are giving the homeless in our city the attention and support they need and deserve,” Spiff explained.
Next to their donation, the Centurions even announced further support in the future to Straßenwächter e.V. with free tickets to their home games amongst other actions.
