Bravos shut down Sea Devils and secure crucial win

Cruickshank madness in Hamburg! The Madrid Bravos overpower the Hamburg Sea Devils and secure a much-needed victory.
The Spaniards' game plan was clear from the start: running back Eduard Molina established the running game early on, which gave star quarterback Reid Sinnet and his extremely talented group of receivers plenty of time and space for play actions. The offense took advantage of this and scored its first touchdowns just in the first drive – and the lead would not change hands again.
Madrid Bravos (4-2) at Hamburg Sea Devils (2-5): 57:0
The focus was once again on top receiver Aron Cruickshank, who once again showed why he is among the favorites for the MVP title. The US import impressed not only with an outstanding 39-yard diving catch, but also with his total of 203 yards and three touchdowns. This means he has already broken the 1,000 receiving yards mark for the season in Week 7, after just six games, and also sealed the deal before halftime.

Quarterback Sinnet finished the game with 348 passing yards and six touchdowns. With just under 10 minutes left on the clock, backup quarterback Ivan Lopez took over. Overall, however, the offense was well-balanced. 370 passing yards were offset by 168 rushing yards. Molina racked up 62 rushing yards and a touchdown. Powerback Andy Owusu made a strong debut with 78 rushing yards.
On defense, safety Paplo Araya created spectacular moments with his big pass deflections, defensive tackle Anel Bowen with a big man interception and Linebacker Julio Aguado with even two interceptions.
Sea Devils struggle - Kitchens collect sacks
The Hamburg Sea Devils, on the other hand, had some serious problems. Although the running game around ELF rushing leader Chrisman Kyei worked well at the beginning, the German team lacked power overall. Receiver Terryon Robinson missed some important catches and gained 17 receiving yards. Quarterback Micah Leon threw for 124 yards and three interceptions.
After his outstanding four-sack performance in Week 6, star defender Kyle Kitchens delivered three more sacks. However, the three-time ELF Defensive Player of the Year narrowly missed getting on the scoreboard. After a blocked point after touchdown, the defensive end's return was brought down just a few yards short of the opponent's end zone.
