Cara Iden

As the European League of Football season heads into the final games of its regular season, several homegrown talents shined bright in Week 10, proving how important European players are for their teams’ success.
Føns powers Nordic Storm’s undefeated run
Simon Føns, the homegrown wide receiver of the Nordic Storm, delivered three important touchdowns in a touchdown battle against Berlin Thunder and their standout quarterback Jakeb Sullivan. In the end, Føns and Nordic Storm secured a 53-35 victory and remain the only unbeaten team in the league. Føns caught the ball only four times but recorded 104 receiving yards and scored three receiving touchdowns. These numbers once again demonstrate how effective the Danish wide receiver is. His quarterback, Jadrian Clark, will be counting on him in the playoffs, as they have already clinched the division title three games before the end of the regular season.

Justin Rodney’s game-changing performance
Justin Rodney of the Munich Ravens is one of the top running backs in the European League of Football. The German talent rushed for two touchdowns and 131 yards on 20 carries in a crucial divisional matchup against the Raiders Tirol. With his strong performance, he played a key role in the Ravens’ victory, especially with his 49 yard run in the fourth quarter that tied the game for the first time since the opening score. This play turned things around for the Ravens, allowing them to make another big play late in the game and walk away with the win. Thanks to this game, Rodney now ranks third in the league’s rushing leaderboard, having recorded 677 yards and six touchdowns so far this season.
Spanish defensive duo: Araya and Dos Santos
The Spanish homegrown players Pablo Araya and Víctor Dos Santos had an outstanding day this weekend. In the clear victory over the struggling Helvetiv Mercenaries, Madrid Bravos’ strong safety Pablo Araya and defensive tackle Víctor Dos Santos delivered impressive performances. Araya recorded eight tackles and one interception, while Dos Santos racked up six tackles, one sack, and one tackle for loss. The Madrid Bravos currently stand at 6-3, narrowly securing a spot in the playoffs. To hold onto this position, they will need another strong defensive effort in the upcoming divisional matchup against the Raiders Tirol.
