The Barcelona Dragons were able to land long-time NFL coach Andrew Weidinger as their head coach for the 2022 season!

The last week in the European League of Football was full of news and headlines. Some teams hired standout coaches, others re-signed important key-players to their roster.

The Barcelona Dragons had one of the biggest announcements over the past seven days.

On Thursday, the Spanish franchise announced former NFL coach Andrew Weidinger as their new head coachfor the upcoming 2022 season in the European League of Football.

The Dragons also re-signed Spanish wide receiver Mario Flores on Monday.

The Berlin Thunder re-signed German wide receiver Emil Drossard and hired Darius Outlaw as their quarterbacks coach for the 2022 season.

The Centurions added talented players to their defensive backfield by signing American playmaker Kalon Beverly and German defender Marvin Djopa.

The German franchise also launched their season ticket sale for the 2022 season.

The reigning champion re-signed wide receiver Cheikhou Sow and defensive lineman Mete Konya to defend their title.

Update: Frankfurt signed former Bundesliga player Thomas Zampach as their kicker for the 2022 season.

The Hamburg Sea Devils re-signed German running back Johann Hummel and German wide receiver Tobias Nill to their team. They also added Maximilian Wessel as an experienced defensive back to their roster.

The German franchise also launched their first podcast episode of “Hear the Wave” hosted by Karin Tries to give Sea Devils fans a behind the scenes look.

The Leipzig Kings signed the first Chinese in the European League of Football to their roster: Shida Wang. In addition, the Saxon-based franchise put pen to paper with last year’s sack leader of the German Football League in Sasan Jelvani.

The Kings also hired Quang Pham Minh as their football quality control manager.

The Raiders Tirol announced the signing of Austrian defensive back Patrick Pilger to their roster for the team’s first season in the European League of Football.

Rhein Fire announced the signing of American quarterback Matt Adam and German wide receiver David Schüler to their team.

The German franchise also hired René Richter to work on the medical staff of the team.

Update: Rhein Fire announced the signing of German linebacker Alexander Sobotta to their roster.

The Stuttgart Surge signed former Galaxy offensive lineman Darnell Minton and re-signed former defensive back turned linebacker Til Becker for 2022.

The Vienna Vikings announced the signing of American defensive lineman Blake Nelson to their roster. The Austrian-based franchise also signed Hungarian running back Kende Rathonyi.

The Wroclaw Panthers have signed American wide receiver Malik Stanley to their team to pair up with quarterback Justice Hansen in 2022.

The Polish franchise also announced that British offensive lineman Keanu Ebanks signed with the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL and therefore will not play for the Panthers in 2022.
