Cologne Centurions sign American defensive back Kalon Beverly

After already adding a lot of talented players to their defense, the Centurions found a playmaking defensive back for the 2022 season!

The Cologne Centurions have signed former Division I defensive back Kalon Beverly to their roster for the 2022 season, as reported by the team.

„I am super excited to play under [head] coach Frank [Roser]. We plan on and will go to the championship with the number one offense and the number one defense. It’s time to elevate“, Beverly proudly stated, via the team’s press release.

Beverly played for the University of Texas at El Paso and finished his last season for the team as a captain. He also was an All-Conference USA Honorable Mention after a strong season in 2017.

After Beverly graduated from UTEP, he participated in the Buffalo Bills training camp but was not signed as a rookie free agent by the NFL franchise. However, the 186cm tall defensive back went on to sign with the Ottawa Redblacks in the CFL.

Now, Centurions’ head coach Frank Roser is excited to have Beverly on his roster, via the team’s press release: “I'm very excited that Kalon [Beverly] is a Centurion now. He is a great football player with the right mindset that will help us to get better on and off the field. It's great that our paths cross again and I look forward to see him leading the way.“
