One of the stars of the 2024 season has no doubt been a familiar name in Paris Musketeers quarterback Zach Edward’s. The ELF’s All-time leading passer has been back to his old tricks leading the Paris Musketeers to a impressive 8-2 record so far, as the second year franchise eyes its first ever post season birth in September.

Edwards is coming off of a monster game last week throwing for five touchdowns and 441 yards. As if that wasn’t enough he added another TD on the ground. The veteran passer was able to spread the ball around finding five different receivers on the day as Paris won 57-7.

Zach Magic MVP Edwards?

Edwards has put himself in MVP contention once again this season with 2,670 passing yards and 37 total touchdowns. When adding rushing and passing touchdowns Edwards leads the ELF in touchdowns responsible for, as he’s been willing to put his head down and fight for tough yards near the endzone. Edwards commented on the big win against Cologne.

" I feel like we had a really good gameplan coming in. We knew Cologne had been playing well lately so everybody was really locked into to what we had to do. Had a lot of guys step up and make plays and let the game handle itself!"

Musketeers Return Home

Next up, Edwards and Paris play the Madrid Bravos in another highly anticipated Western Conference matchup. The last time these two teams met Paris won 29-13 in Madrid. Now after more than a month on the road (due to the Olympics), the Musketeers return to their home turf eager to earn another big win in front of their home fans.

Crucial Matchup vs Madrid On Saturday

A win at home would essentially secure spot in the playoffs as the Musketeers are currently one of four teams with similar records jostling for only three playoff spots remaining. As you might have guessed Madrid (7-3) is fighting for a playoff spot. Saturday’s matchup between the two will be a vital part of seeing how the playoff picture develops. The experienced quarterback spoke on the state of the team heading into the final push before the post-season:

"We feel really good. We’ve grown a lot this year as a team. There’s been games when things haven’t gone are way and we’ve overcome them by relying on and trusting one another. By doing so we have created a great culture, one that is very excited of the opportunity that lies ahead of us."
