Shortly after Week 7 of the ELF season, the Wroclaw Panthers announced that they have released two-time All-Star and Special Teams Player of the Year, Devan Burrell. The news comes even after the team secured a win against the Fehérvár Enthroners.

Strong stats but not enough
Burrell has put up impressive numbers so far this season, recording 22 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 2 interceptions, including a pick-six. Additionally, he’s been a real asset on special teams, returning the ball for a total of 931 yards and scoring three touchdowns.
It remains unclear who will fill the gap left by Devan Burrell on the Panthers’ roster moving forward.
