Wrocław Panthers experienced a rollercoaster 2024

The 2024 Wrocław Panthers experienced a rollercoaster season finishing the year at a even 6-6 record. The Polish squad went through several quarterbacks in what was a up and down season. Along with the changes at quarterback, saw defensive coordinator Craig Kuligowski step in as the head coach of the team in Week 7 following the depature of Dave Christensen.

QB1 Steven Duncan is released

Following a week one vicotry and a 10 point loss to the Stuttgart Surge, the Panthers dropped a dissapointing game to the Vienna Vikings at home. The Vikings played without a import quarterback, but were able to steal a win out of the Panthers grasps on the road. Following the game the Panthers released starter Steven Duncan and signed veteran passer John Uribe.

John Uribe goes 1-2

The experienced passer and the Panthers fell to the Frakfurt Galaxy on the road 10-20 in his first start of the 2024 season. After a blowout victory against the Enthroners, the Panthers lost on the road to the Vienna Vikings 25-37.

QB Matthew Vitale makes a short return & HC Dave Christensen leaves

One of the stars of the 2023 season, quarterback Matthew Vitale returned to Wroclaw winning his first game back 14-3 against the Prague Lions. However, the next week the Panthers were smothered by the Stuttgart Surge defense shutting them out 40-0. Soon thereafter, Vitale left the team for personal reasons. During that same week the Panthers parted ways with head coach Dave Christensen and promoted defensive coordinator Craig Kuligowski to the head coach role.

Josiah Norwood leads a strong finish to the season

Needless to say, the Panthers season to this point had not gone as planned, sitting at 3-5 with four games to go. In a bold move, receiver Josiah Norwood moved to the quarterback positon and the teams identity changed. They became a dynamic rushing offense, controlling the clock and playing physical football. Norwood and new head coach Craig Kuligowski finished the season with a 3-1 record with convinving wins over the Enthroners, Lions, and Galaxy.

Looking ahead to 2025

The Panthers annouced the return of Craig Kuligowski giving fans and players stability going into the 2025 season. In another move the team annouced that Jakub Samel will be returing to the team as the Head of Development and scouting.
