Wildcard: Sunday’s Top Performer – Harlan Kwofie

In their 10-40 victory against the Madrid Bravos, Rhein Fire had plenty to celebrate, especially the performance of one player: Harlan Kwofie. The 25-year-old German wide receiver had a quiet regular season. In the eleven games he played, he produced only 374 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. But in this game, it seems Kwofie has returned to his old form.

Bravos struggle to contain Kwofie

The Madrid Bravos struggled all game to cover Kwofie and take him out of the game. In the first half, he was the only player on the Rhein Fire side to catch passes from quarterback Jadrian Clark. By halftime, Kwofie had already accumulated over 170 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Kwofie rested early

Although Harlan Kwofie added another touchdown and more yards in the third quarter, that was his final action for the day. Since the Bravos couldn’t score any more points, Kwofie was rested in preparation for the semifinal game against Stuttgart Surge.

He’ll be especially looking forward to that game, as in the 2023 Championship Game, Kwofie caught for 146 yards and two touchdowns, playing a key role in Rhein Fire becoming champions.
