Wide receivers chasing records

The final week of the regular season is here, and along with playoff battles, several records in the ELF could be broken. Two homegrown wide receivers are on track to set new milestones in Week 14.

Rookie Milan Spiller has caught 57 passes for 927 yards so far this season, putting him on course to set the record for the most receiving yards by a European receiver in a single season. The current record of 984 yards was set by Anthony Mahoungou last season. Now the Stuttgart Surge, with the 7th best passing defense, are coming up against Spiller and the Mercenaries. Can he reach the 58 receiving yards needed to tie Mahoungou's record, or even break the 1,000-yard mark? Week 14 will reveal the answer.

In the game between the Stuttgart Surge and the Helvetic Mercenaries, there's another receiver looking to make history. After a strong performance against the Barcelona Dragons, where he caught 8 passes for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns, Stuttgart's Yannick Geyer is just 44 receiving yards away from tying the ELF all-time receiving leader Jean Constant.

Competition for the record

Geyer isn’t the only one chasing Constant's record. Malik Stanley and Markell Castle are also within reach. Stanley needs 86 yards to tie the record, while Castle is 121 yards away. Castle had an impressive 212-yard game in Week 13, but it wasn't enough to secure a win for his Frankfurt Galaxy. If Castle can replicate such a performance, he might find himself at the top of the all-time receiver list, despite strong showings from both Geyer and Stanley.

Week 14 promises to be an exciting one, with playoff spots and records on the line!
