"When nothing else was working, Glen Toonga worked"

Gameday 5 is in the books. One of the highlights: The clash between Rhein Fire and Berlin Thunder. The champion managed to come back from 7-21.

"It was a thriller", said Nick Alfieri in Monday’s ELF Live show, in which he and expert Matt Bressington recapped the Game Day.

"Kitchens is just another level"

Berlin was near to a win against Rhein Fire - led by a strong Kyle Kitchens (Bressington: "He is just another level") - but lost its punch in the second half.

One of the game winners for Düsseldorf was RB Glen Toonga, another time. No wonder, he was nominated as Game MVP.

Toonga: 175 of Rhein Fire's 214 rushing yards

"I was screaming at the TV", Alfieri said. Rhein Fire’s star running back achieved 175 of his team’s overall 214 rushing yards. That’s what you need in these kind of games. Alfieri: "When nothing else was working, Glen Toonga worked."

Furthermore, the Panthers ended their losing streak. Alfieri: "A much needed game for the Panthers." So, Wroclaw is back on track. Same as the Seamen. "Milano could go on a little win streak", Alfieri predicts.
