Week 9 was most even Gameday of Season 2025
Cara Iden & Nils Rosjat

The results of European League of Football's Week 9 were closer than at any other point of the current season. On average, only 15.8 points separated the winning and defeated teams at Gameday 9.
Three one-score games among seven matches
And, furthermore, three of the seven games last weekend were one-score games. First, the Wroclaw Panthers defeated the Prague Lions 41-37 after a strong fourth quarter. With only 16 seconds left on the clock, Panthers quarterback DJ Irons scored on a rushing play to take back the lead.
The top matchup between the Vienna Vikings and the Paris Musketeers also ended as a one-score game, with the Vikings winning 40-33. This game was as well decided late in the fourth quarter.
Last but not least, there was the highly anticipated clash between the defending champion Rhein Fire and the undefeated newcomer Nordic Strom. Jadrian Clark, the 2023 MVP who led Rhein Fire to back-to-back championships, faced his former teammates and they knew exactly how to pressure him. But Clark made an impressive comeback and, together with a strong defensive unit, led his team to a narrow 25-24 victory.
