Week 8: Saturday's Top-Performer - Jack Mangel

The ELF is peppered with talented players who demonstrate their skills week in, week out and have a shot at the top performer of the day award. This saturday in week 8, multiple candidates showed out, but quarterback Jack Mangel stole the show.

The signal-caller for the Fehérvár Enthroners played a big part in the first victory of the season for the Hungarian franchise. Mangel displayed good pocket presence and acted as a field general for most of the game. He took care of the football, spreading it out to six different receivers in the passing game, often placing balls where only his guys could get it.

Multiple deep passes found their target and resulted in several highlight plays, giving the Enthroners plenty oppourtunity to score points. Mangel finished the day with 373 passing yards and three touchdowns without throwing an interception.

In his first ELF season, Mangel has had his ups and downs so far. In part, because the Enthroners have not played a good season so far. With renewed confidence and their first win of the season in the bag, they will face the Milano Seamen in their next game. Has Mangel now turned the corner?
