Week 11 Power Ranking – No movement?

Let's see where the teams rank after Week 11!

After Week 11 is in the books, the third European League of Football season gets closer to the playoffs. It was difficult to place the Ravens and the Surge after their close game, but I ended up with an interesting solution. Let’s see where I rank the teams before Week 12 kicks off!

Another week, another win. Rhein Fire stays right where they are in my ranking!

The Vikings are still undefeated. However, they had multiple close games and their Week 11 matchup was one of them. The Panthers were in the lead for almost the entire game, but somehow, the Vikings are able to find a way to win. And this is what makes good teams great.

The Stuttgart Surge lost their second game of the season. But I will keep them at three because of their general firepower and overall strength of the roster in combination with their coaching staff. I also think that no other team is worthy of a top three selection at the moment other than the Surge which made this decision easier. But the Munich Ravens are team to look out for at the end of the regular season!

The Frankfurt Galaxy have won their eighth straight game this past weekend. The Cologne Centurions offense no match for the Galaxy defense. But the Centurions defense was able to make life difficult for the team from Frankfurt. Let’s see what Week 12 holds in store for Jakeb Sullivan, who could not play against the Centurions on short notice because of illness.

The Berlin Thunder won a must-win game against the Prague Lions on Sunday. In my opinion, the Thunder are the likeliest team out of all teams without a playoff spot with their current record that could fight their way into the playoffs over the next three weeks. Their Conference matchup against the Wroclaw Panthers in Week 12 should be the most anticipated game of the weekend.

The Tirol Raiders debut with a new starting quarterback and a new American wide receiver did not go as planned. They got a away with a win against the Helvetic Guards, but throwing three interceptions in his debut was a rough start for Joe Dolincheck. Nevertheless, the two new imports have another week to clean things up before they face the undefeated Vikings for a second time this year.

The Munich Ravens pulled off an upset against the Stuttgart Surge on Sunday. However, there is just no way of ranking them higher than seven because of the six teams ahead of them. In my opinion, any team in the top eight, maybe even top nine, has what it takes to win against any team in the top eight on a good day, if you leave Rhein Fire out of the picture. The Ravens are getting hot at the end of the season, but I don’t think that they can pull off a win against Rhein Fire in Week 12.

I keep the Panthers at eight despite their loss against the Vikings because it could have easily turned into a win. Without the late touchdown reception by wide receiver Florian Bierbaumer, the Panthers would own a 7-3 record and an almost safe spot in the playoffs. Now they have to fight for their spot in a 1-on-1 battle in Poland against the Berlin Thunder in Week 12.

The Hamburg Sea Devils were dominated by Rhein Fire, just like almost any other team in the league so far. So do not rank this loss too high for the Hanseatic franchise. They have to stay in the top ten.

Previous: 10

The Musketeers went through a bye week in Week 11. I just keep them at ten because no other team below them in this ranking showed any signs of being worthy of this spot.

Previous: 11

The Helvetic Guards lost another close game. It seems like their defense is playoff-worthy, but their offense is just not ready to put up enough points on the board to win in this league. Let’s see what they will do against Rhein Fire in Week 13 after their upcoming bye week.

Previous: 12

The Milano Seamen managed to win their second game of the season against the struggling Barcelona Dragons. It was a hard fight, but they were able to stay on top with a great game by quarterback Luke Zahradka.

Previous: 13

The Cologne Centurions are just like the Helvetic Guards. Great defense but close to no offensive productions against high-caliber teams. They have to stay at 13 in my ranking.

Previous: 14

Another loss for the Spanish franchise. After a 2-0 start, this season turned into a nightmare for Barcelona Dragons.

Previous: 15

The Fehérvár Enthroners are coming off a bye week, but they stay at 15 with their 2-7 record for now.

Previous: 16

The Prague Lions lost against the Berlin Thunder after an almost complete rebuild of their franchise on Sunday. Unfortunately for all Lions fans, their franchise has to stay at 16.
