Vikings? "They might have a bit of rust at the kick-off"

With the Wildcard round behind us, the semifinals are set to deliver some thrilling matchups for fans of the European League of Football. Not only will we see a rematch between last year's Championship Game participants with Rhein Fire facing Stuttgart Surge, but the Paris Musketeers will also take on the Vienna Vikings in a game between two franchises that have never played against each other before.

The game between the Vikings and Musketeers was a hot topic in the ELF Live show. Expert Matt Bressington couldn’t pinpoint a clear favorite. "I don’t know, there is so much unpredictable stuff that can happen," he said. According to him, experience within the Paris franchise could play a crucial role. "Vienna is a bit younger, they are not so experienced at some positions, but they have guys with a lot of potential. I think that’s gonna come in."

Host Nick Alfieri also suggested that the start might be challenging for the Vienna Vikings. "Vienna is coming off two byes in a row, so they might have a bit of rust at the kick-off."
