As a consequence of the devastating floods in some parts of Austria in recent days, the Vienna Vikings have decided to support the fundraising campaign "Austria helps Austria". The ORF initiative supports people in crisis, and the Red Cross is on board together with other aid organisations.

"First of all, we would like to express our deepest sympathy to everyone affected by the floods. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the emergency services and the Austrian Armed Forces for their outstanding and tireless efforts. We have now spontaneously decided to donate 20% of the proceeds from our next merch pop-up stores to the ‘Austria helps Austria’ campaign", says Kiki Klepsch, press spokeswoman for the Vienna Vikings.

Fortunately, the Championship Game contender has not been affected by the flood desaster. "Our preparations for the Championship Game are currently not affected. We are confident that the weather situation will calm down as announced, and that team training can take place on the intact facility. The other training sessions and meetings should also be able to take place as planned from Wednesday on", Klepsch amended.
