Vikings add DB Devin Taylor as Amani Dennis lands on IR

Ahead of their highly anticipated Week 6 rematch against Rhein Fire, the Vienna Vikings have announced a key roster change in their secondary. Defensive back Amani Dennis has been placed on injured reserve and will miss at least the next few weeks.
Dennis, who joined the Vikings during the offseason, had quickly established himself as a defensive playmaker. In just a few games, he recorded 12 tackles, 5 pass deflections, and 2 interceptions — one of which he returned for a touchdown. His absence will be a tough blow for a defense that has been one of the league’s most consistent units so far.
Former rival now in purple and yellow
To fill the gap, the Vikings signed a familiar face in Devin Taylor — a standout defensive back who spent the 2024 season with their longtime rivals, the Raiders Tirol. Taylor played all 12 games last year and earned a reputation as one of the league’s most reliable DBs. He finished the season with 42 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 2 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, and 12 pass deflections.
The move adds both experience and versatility to the Vikings' secondary, as Taylor is known for his physical coverage style and ability to make big plays in key moments.
