It's a change towards the future by the Vienna Vikings. As the Vikings announced on Friday, the team is turning its back on the bearded Viking and innovating the look for the coming seasons. The logo combines the horns of the Viking helmet, the colors of the franchise and the typical Vikings "V".

Lukas Leitner, Vienna Vikings General Manger, addressed the change of the new franchise logo: "We are thrilled to unveil our new Vikings logo, a symbol that marks a bold new era for our team while paying homage to our rich and splendid past. The Vikings organization was founded in 1983, having been one of the most successful teams in European football history, and is now off to new shores. Since joining the ELF two years ago, the Vikings already won one Championship Game (2022) and reached the playoffs in 2023.
