Vienna Vikings happy about contract extension of safety Kellner and receiver Schachermayr
Chris Hahn

The Vienna Vikings have signed wide receiver Michael Schachermayr to a one-year contract and safety Christoph Kellner to a two-year deal. Schachermayr was the receiving yards leader in the Austrian Football League in 2022 before joining the Vikings midway through the season. The reigning champion is praised by the head coach: "Michael made an immediate impact as soon as he joined our franchise team mid-season. Now, he will have the whole pre-season to prepare in 2023, and we are expecting him to make a lot of plays for our offense in the European League of Football," Vienna Vikings Chris Calaycay is pleased. Schachermayr had one touchdown and 77 yards in seven games with high competition in the receiving corps that looks even more promissing this year.
