Vienna Vikings announce venue for remaining home games

The Vienna Vikings have announced their venue for four more games.

The Vienna Vikings have announced their venue for the remainder of the 2024 season. While playing the first two home games in the Generali-Arena in Vienna, the four other games will be played in the ERGO Arena in the Wiener Neustadt around 50km away from Vienna.

"We are delighted to announce our two stadiums for the 2024 regular season: the Generali-Arena and the Wiener Neustadt ERGO Arena. Both are among the most modern stadiums in Austria and offer us every opportunity to organize unforgettable Game Days for thousands of enthusiastic football fans. The huge parking lot in front of the Wiener Neustadt ERGO Arena, for example, invites you to an American-style tailgate party, and we are very excited to see how our fans will embrace this opportunity.", Lukas Leitner, General Manager of the Vikings said.

Preparations are in full swing

"Wiener Neustadt is a very interesting location for our franchise, as the region covers a very large catchment area and is easily accessible from all directions. It is particularly easy to get here from Vienna by train and by car via the Südautobahn. There will also be a fan shuttle bus from Vienna, which is even free of charge for season ticket holders. Preparations are in full swing at both venues. There will also be innovations in entertainment and in the pre-game area this year, which will be special highlights at our matches."

'Vikings Show' is coming to a new stadium

Those responsible in Wiener Neustadt are delighted that the 'Vikings Show' is coming to Wiener Neustadt: "With the Vienna Vikings, we can welcome the European football figurehead to Wiener Neustadt. It is clear that American football has already found a place in our city in the past - back then at the Flugfeld sports ground. The fact that the Vikings have now found a home in the Wiener Neustadt ERGO Arena speaks for the stadium's flexibility: from national and international soccer, to open-air concerts by renowned world stars, to the European elite in American football. The sports city of Wiener Neustadt would like to thank all those responsible and is looking forward to hotly contested match days for the Vienna Vikings," said Mayor Klaus Schneeberger and Sports Councillor Philipp Gruber.
