Vienna Vikings and Paris Musketeers create nail-biter

The Sunday of Week 9 in the European League of Football started with an absolute thriller. Paris Musketeers quarterback Jaylon Henderson tried to fuel the win with a dual-threat masterclass, while Vienna’s balanced offense kept the game alive until a late touchdown with under three minutes left pushed the Vienna Vikings to the win.

Vienna Vikings (7-1) AT Paris Musketeers (5-3): 40 - 33

Quarterback Jaylon Henderson lit up the stat sheet, completing 17 out of 30 passes for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns, while also racing for 108 yards and a rushing TD on 18 carries that produced over 130 yards on the ground. His legs and arm combo kept Vienna’s defense guessing all game. Wideout Austin Mitchell emerged as Henderson’s primary target once again, hauling in 5 receptions for 144 yards and both passing TDs, stretching defenses deep and consistently making big gains.

Vienna quarterback Ben Holmes was efficient as usual, throwing three passing touchdowns, one each to multiple receivers. His solitary interception was costly, overshadowing an otherwise sharp performance. The Vikings’ ground game chipped in over 100 rushing yards, complementing their aerial firepower. Their strategy kept them competitive throughout, even after falling behind late. Their well-oiled offensive machine got them the win at the end with a late go-ahead touchdown, including a two-point conversion to former NFL wide receiver Reece Horn.
