Top Free Agents before the Signing Deadline

The European League of Football enters week 8 and teams have just two weeks left, before the signing deadline ends on August 2nd.

Let’s take a look at some prospects that could find a spot in a European League of Football roster:

AJ Wentland

The linebacker is looking for a new team, after the Kings cancelled their season. With 84 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss in just five games, the US-American good be one of the player who the most sought-after. Wentland could immediately turn into a leader joining a new team.

Aslan Zetterberg

As a veteran in the European League of Football, the Swedish defensive tackle has still enough juice to support some teams in the league. Zetterberg is a big body defensive player with good football IQ. For the Kings, he amassed four sacks and seven tackles for loss in five game, also being a First Team All-Star in 2022.

Adel Bafdile

The young French defensive back lastly suited up for the Thonon Black Panthers, where he won the MVP award in the category of best young players. Bafdile could strengthen a Musketeer secondary that is second to last in pass defense.

Julian Kapellari

Having played for the Graz Giants in the 2023 AFL season, Kapellari could seek a new challenge. At wide receiver, the Austrian had 731 yards and eleven touchdowns in nine games. A homegrown wide receiver for either the Raiders or Vikings that could help offensively.

Miloš Novák

After the Czech league finished its season, Novák could spark some interest of the Prague Lions for the remainder of the European League of Football season. The homegrown linebacker has already accomplished goals with the Dresden Monarchs in 2021 and could bring some experience into the team.

William James

The safety suited up for the Panthers in 2021 and Kings in 2022 and 2023. For the Kings, he had 31 total tackles in five games and helped the Kings to have some defensive stability in the last two years. A possible prospect for teams needing help in their secondary.
