The Top 100 Players of 2023 will be reveiled more and more every two days in the month of November. We will be releasing the Top 100 graded players of the season 2023 according to SportsMetrics. The grades reflect the individuals performance on the field.

Thunder all-time great

With Paul Seifert, one of the most productive homegrown players in ELF history is coming in at number eight of the 2023 Top 100. The 26-year-old has been a star for the Berlin Thunder since their first season in the ELF. Even in a star-studded linebacker group featuring the likes of Wael Nasri and Louis Achaintre, Seifert showed right from the start that he is a force to be reckoned with, ending the 2021 season with 56 tackles, 5 sacks, a TFL, two interceptions and three blocked kicks.

He kept on improving in 2022, once again ranking top three on the team in tackles and interceptions, while leading the Thunder in in pass breakups and blocked kicks.

Most complete defender in the league?

In 2023, Seifert proved once and for all that he is one of, if not the most, complete defender in the ELF. The star linebacker ranked among the league’s best tackles (90) and ranked second in pass breakups (13). Additionally, Seifert recorded 2.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss, two interceptions including a pick-six, a blocked kick, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery touchdown. 

The Thunder all-time tackling leader just keeps on getting better and has been a true top 10 player in 2023.
