Too many penalties – Raiders aim to bounce back
Felix Pahl

The Vienna Vikings extended their perfect start to the 2025 season with a dominant 41–7 home win over the Raiders Tirol. It marked the seventh consecutive victory for Vienna in the ELF’s “Battle of Austria” rivalry.
Early control and consistent pressure
The Vikings took an early lead and never looked back. Quarterback Ben Holmes connected three times with wide receiver Noah Touré and added a rushing touchdown himself. On the other side of the ball, Vienna’s defense played with discipline and intensity, limiting Tirol’s offensive rhythm and forcing multiple punts.
The Raiders, now 2–2, had problems with penalties and missed opportunities. Quarterback N’Kosi Perry showed flashes of potential but struggled under pressure. Tirol’s only points came in the fourth quarter on a touchdown catch by JaCorey Sullivan.

After the game, Raiders head coach Jim Herrmann reflected on his team’s performance:
“We wanted to establish the run — that’s essential in this league. But we didn’t succeed and had too many penalties. Now we’ll look forward, analyze the game, and fix our mistakes.”
The Vikings remain one of the league’s top contenders with a 4–0 record and continue to prove why they are a powerhouse in the ELF.
