Throwback to Rhein Fire's perfect day in Championship Game 2023

It's Championship Game weekend in the ELF. Rhein Fire and the Vienna Vikings battle for the 2024 ELF trophy. It is already the fourth title match in the history of the European League of Football.
A good reason to review the past finals. Today we take a look at the 2023 Championship Game.

Home team against the defeaters of the "invincibles"

The 2023 Championship was a very special one for Rhein Fire. After all, it was played in the SCHAUINSLAND-REISEN-ARENA in Duisburg. The place where Rhein Fire plays their home games. The extra motivation seems to have paid off. Head coach Jim Tomsula's team walked through the regular season with a record of 12:0.

The Stuttgart Surge then waited in the final. Although the Swabians lost two games in the regular season, they have beaten the Vienna Vikings in the semi-finals, who had also not lost a game all season.

Rhein Fire unleashes offensive fireworks

31.500 fans watched the spectacle in the sold-out arena. Rhein Fires' home court advantage was also noticeable in the atmosphere. The fans watched a 53:34 victory for Rhein Fires. The team was crowned unbeaten champions.

Rhein Fire was simply unstoppable. On the ground and in the air. The team led by season MVP Jadrian Clark had a total of 511 total offensive yards. About 100 more than their opponents.
