The Top ELF Off-Season Moves of October

One month of the ELF off-season has already flown by! As signings start to ramp up, let's take a look back at some of the top moves of the ELF’s first months of the 2024-25 off-season.

Andrew Weidinger heads to Madrid

The Bravos are a team to watch in 2025 after an exceptional inaugural season, making the postseason and defeating the Rhein Fire in Week 2. Madrid has brought in Rhein Fire offensive coordinator Andrew Weidinger to be their head coach.

Weidinger was coach of the year with the Barcelona Dragons in 2022 and has made a reputation for himself as one of the best offensive minds on the continent. Fans are thrilled to see what Weidinger can do with a Bravos team that might have championship potential.

Madrid has a new quarterback

The Bravos recently made a huge move, signing Reid Sinnett as their quarterback for next season. The former NFL, UFL, and XFL quarterback brings a strong resume to the ELF, having spent three seasons in the NFL and thrown for 1,233 yards in the UFL and XFL. It will be great to see how coach Andrew Weidinger uses his new talented passer.

Bart Andrus comes to Frankfurt

The Thomas Kösling era is officially over in Frankfurt after a 4-8 season. They will look to usher in a new era, led by former NFL Europe coach of the year and veteran coach Bart Andrus. The Galaxy will now look to build back after their worst season in 19 years.

Vienna is running it back

Quarterback Ben Holmes, receiver Reece Horn, running back Karri Pajarinnen, and a host of Austrian talents have all resigned to the Vikings as they are looking to get back to the title game next season and leave with a trophy this time.

Shuan Fatah begins rebuild in Hamburg

The Sea Devils have found their new head coach in NFL Europe veteran and German National team head coach Shuan Fatah. Fatah has one of the best resumes in Europe and will surely be using his recruiting skills to bring some more talent into this Hamburg roster as they look to bounce back to the contender status they had back in 2022.

Wróclaw Panthers are back on the prowl

After a strong finish to the season, the Panthers have signed interim head coach Craig Kuligowski. They also bring back All-Star linebacker AJ Wentland, special teams player of the year Devan Burrell. At quarterback, the Polish squad has signed DJ Irons from the University of Akron as they hope to build off a 6-6 2024 season.
