The Nominees for Offensive Player of the Year
Not only is the final getting closer, but so are the ELF Honors, where players and coaches will be recognized for their performances during the regular season across 11 different categories.
This award honors the best offensive player of the season. The winner has shown exceptional skill, effort, and consistency, leading their team's offense with outstanding plays. Any offensive player is eligible to win this award.
Let’s take a look at the nominees for the Offensive Player of the Year award:
Despite a tough season for his team, Aaron Jackson delivered a strong performance. He helped his team wherever he could and showed his versatility. Jackson's ability to score in different ways was clear, as he recorded touchdowns not only as a receiver but also as a rusher and passer. Jackson totaled 1,357 yards and 16 touchdowns across various offensive roles.
ELF veteran Zach Edwards impressed once again with his dual-threat ability. With 3,057 passing yards, Edwards ranked second in passing, but he also put up great numbers as a runner. His 792 rushing yards made him the sixth-best rusher in the league, despite being a quarterback. His 42 total touchdowns helped lead the Paris Musketeers to their first-ever playoff appearance in franchise history.
Reilly Hennessey also delivered an impressive season. The Stuttgart Surge quarterback led his team to an almost perfect season. Hennessey showed his dual-threat ability, although he didn’t produce as many yards as Zach Edwards. This was partly because he was often rested and didn’t finish games. Still, Hennessey recorded 3,037 total yards and 45 total touchdowns.
The winners will be announced on September 21 at the ELF Honors.
