The internationally renowned Agency LIZENZWERFT exclusively takes over the licensing business of the European League of Football – contract until 2026

Those responsible for the European League of Football are taking the next step in the development of the "Champions League" of European football and have agreed on a long-term cooperation with LizenzWerft. The renowned and internationally active agency based in Hamburg will initially take over the exclusive licensing business for the ELF and its franchises until 2026.

Setting new standards in brand development

"Around three years ago, we founded a new league from scratch that has grown rapidly and set new standards for American football in Europe. But we are still at the beginning of the journey. It is therefore essential that we have strong partners at our side for various relevant areas. LizenzWerft is the perfect partner for us to make the ELF even better known as a brand and to position our attractive range of licensed products on the broad market," says Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of the European League of Football.

"The ELF is the most exciting newcomer in European sport and has taken the hearts of football fans by storm. It fills us with great pride that this up-and-coming league has placed its trust in LizenzWerft to promote its brand through our extensive expertise in brand development and license partnerships. Our crew is very much looking forward to this and is highly motivated to develop and successfully implement concepts for the ELF and its franchises. We don't see ourselves as a service provider, but as part of the team," says Managing Director and Owner Christopher Conzen, who runs LizenzWerft together with Peter Bichler.

LizenzWerft has been supporting its clients in the entertainment, lifestyle and corporate brands sectors for more than 30 years. The owners Conzen and Bichler and their team specialize in creating the right worlds of experience, platforms, and stages to present products in the best possible way and to emotionally charge brands.

The fourth season of the European League of Football begins in May 2024. It will feature 17 teams from nine nations, including Berlin Thunder, Rhein Fire, Frankfurt Galaxy, Hamburg Sea Devils, Cologne Centurions, Stuttgart Surge, Munich Ravens (all Germany), Paris Musketeers (France), Milano Seamen (Italy), Raiders Tirol, Vienna Vikings (both Austria), Panthers Wrocław (Poland), Madrid Bravos, Barcelona Dragons (both Spain), Prague Lions (Czech Republic), Helvetic Guards (Switzerland) and the Fehérvár Enthroners (Hungary). The Championship Game will take place on September 22nd in the VELTINS-Arena of FC Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen.
