Super Bowl champion joins Raiders Tirol

Terry Malone, Super Bowl champion with the New Orleans Saints, will join Raiders Tirol's staff as assistant head coach, running back and tight ends coach.

Malone has been in the coaching business for over 40 years and celebrated his greatest success in 2010 when he won the Super Bowl as tight ends coach of the New Orleans Saints. Malone was on the Saints coaching staff for eight years (2006-2014) and coached Jimmy Graham to become one of the most dominant tight ends of the 2010s (First-team All-Pro, Second-team All-Pro, five Pro Bowl call-ups). Malone was also on the coaching staff for the 2007 Pro Bowl.

Crossing pathes with Tom Brady

Prior to his time in the NFL, Malone teamed with Jim Herrmann to win the college championship with the Michigan Wolverines in the 1997 season, where he was offensive line coach and offensive coordinator from 1997 to 2005. During this time, he coached Tom Brady, among other future NFL players.

Malone has held various positions at notable colleges during his long career, most recently as senior offensive analyst for the LSU Tigers. Now his path leads him to Europe for the first time.

"I am very excited to join the Raiders Family"

Terry Malone says: "Football is a special game. It has always been a big part of my life. I love coaching football and I am very excited to join the Raiders Family."

Ulz Däuber, GM Football, says: "With Coach Malone we are adding additional NFL expertice to the Raiders program. Coach Malone is highly respected throughout the coaching ranks because of his extensive knowledge of the game of football. All our players and staff will benefit tremendously from his leadership and input."
