Sunday Recap – Thunder dominate, Galaxy back on track

The last two games of Week 6 were dominated by the Frankfurt Galaxy at home and the Berlin Thunder on the road in Prague. Let’s how both games went!

Hamburg Sea Devils (2-2) at Frankfurt Galaxy (2-2)

The Hamburg Sea Devils had a tough matchup ahead coming into this game. However, the Frankfurt Galaxy were the ones with the most pressure after a starting the season 1-2. Quarterback Luke Zahradka and his crew were starting out hot, dominating the first half.

With two touchdowns by wide receiver Norman Schumm, the Galaxy were dominating the passing game. The Hamburg Sea Devils were not able to establish their aerial attack with no passing touchdowns by Javarian Smith over the first three quarters.

On the flip side, the Sea Devils defense did a good job keeping their team in the game. Because of their dominant passing attack, the Galaxy were able to pull away and make it a three-score game with one quarter to go.

At the end, the Galaxy were too much to handle for the Hamburg Sea Devils. The Galaxy are now at .500, just like the Sea Devils. But both teams are trending in completely different directions heading into Week 7.

Berlin Thunder (3-3) at Prague Lions (0-6)

This game had a strange taste to it. The Prague Lions were welcoming the Berlin Thunder at their home field without their starting quarterback. Up to the third quarter, the Czech franchise has attempted just one pass while rushing the ball 38 times.

Because of their lacking passing attack, the Prague Lions were not finding any rhythm on offense. Not even to mention the strong Thunder defense. On the other side of the field, the Berlin offense was running like a well-oiled machine with wide receiver Robin Wilzeck catching two touchdowns from quarterback Jakeb Sullivan.

As expected, the Berlin Thunder dominated the Prague Lions. The Thunder needed this win, trailing the Vikings in their conference, and the Lions need to find a way to be more competitive with their 0-6 record going into Week 7.
