Sunday Recap: In and out of the playoffs
With just a small hope to reach the playoffs in 2023, the Sea Devils wanted to make another statement at home against the Musketeers. Paris, on the other hand, had nothing to lose, playing a solid game against a decimated Hamburg team. For the offense, led by Moritz Maack, other plays than deep balls to Malik Stanley, did not work out. For Paris, Zach Edwards did what he had to do in a dominating second half, taking home the 29-19-victory.
The Seamen travelled to Frankfurt in a hope to get something out of the Main-Metropolis and in the end got outsmarted by a terrific Jakeb Sullivan in the backfield of the Galaxy. Despite the rather disappointing rushing game of the Galaxy this year, the team managed to move the ball frequently through the air and on the ground. Only in garbage time, the Seamen and Luke Zahradka managed to put the ball into the endzone. It was a controlling 53-14-win for the Kösling and his team.
The Munich Ravens had the chance to crash the Rhein Fire's hopes of an undefeated season. With Fire coming out hot and playing consistent all game long, the Ravens had problems keeping up with the pace of that Jadrian Clark led offense. Even a strong game by quarterback Chad Jeffries did not carry his team to a needed victory before the playoffs.
